Now in its fifth year at the Lancaster County Super Fair, the 4-H & FFA Meat Goat Show gives youth the opportunity to learn how to take care of, groom and show meat goats as an animal science project. Meat goats are also known as boer goats.

much more.

Due to the outbreak of avian influenza, the Nebraska Department of Agriculture cancelled all events where birds are co-mingled in 2015. Alternate poultry events at the Lancaster County Super Fair included a poster contest, presentations, poultry parts identification contest, quiz bowl and a crowing contest. 4-H’ers used a stuffed bird in showmanship.

The 4-H English Horse Show at the Lancaster County Super Fair include numerous "in hand" (horse is led, not ridden) and riding classes where horse and rider must be in english tack and attire. Horses used are hunter-type horses.

Due to the outbreak of avian influenza, the Nebraska Department of Agriculture cancelled all events where birds are co-mingled in 2015. Alternate poultry events at the Lancaster County Super Fair included a poster contest, presentations, poultry parts identification contest, quiz bowl and a crowing contest. 4-H’ers used a stuffed bird in showmanship.

4-H and FFA youth in the swine (hog or pig) animal science project learn how to raise, take care of, and show swine. Showmanship classes (pictured) emphasize the youth's handling and knowledge of their animals.

The 4-H Horse Games at the Lancaster County Super Fair includes Figure 8 Stake Race and Keyhole Race. In the Figure 8 Stake Race (pictured), riders are timed how fast they weave around two poles in a figure 8 pattern.
