Shy but feisty Atara, photographed at Big Cat Sanctuary, Kent

Before you scroll away from this feisty beauty, be assured that this is no ordinary cat. This is a Scottish Wildcat (aka the Highland Tiger!) and this shot was taken mid hiss. This breed of cat is absolutely feral and doesnt tolerate patting, stroking or general nearness to him. He's called McTavish and whilst I respectfully keep my distance, I admire him from afar...

Sadly at risk of extinction in Scotland... Photographed with love at British Wildlife Centre

The might, strength and overall cuteness factor of a tiny Harvest Mouse photographed at British Wildlife Centre, UK

She is the image of her father, Neron. A wonderful ambassador for Jaguar conservation.

Whilst I love all the big and little cats I photograph, this boy will always have a special place in my heart. I would photograph him all day. He's a joy, and a gentleman.

He's a Welsh Section D and his name is Spirit after the Walt Disney movie star! When I go to North Wales to photograph him and the rest of his herd, I love to take him down to the beach for a canter.. There is nothing like the wind in your face and a song in your heart to brush the stress away!

The plant she has squashed was quite a spiky big affair until she plonked herself in the middle of it! She looked a bit befuddled, then she spotted me and employed 'staring contest' tactics!

Khumbu, born at Big Cat Sanctuary photographed in low key lighting. Khumbu is scheduled to go to Twycross zoo to be part of their breeding programme.

There are 8 Polar bears at Yorkshire Wildlife park and boy do they love their lakes!! This is a youngster who lives with his mother and two siblings. It's a joy to spend time watching them. This never gets old!!

Ted photographed at British Wildlife Centre, UK

This stunning seal pup is about a week old here... and quite rotund, though we saw bigger and rounder pups also. He's just had his fill of his mother's milk. The mothers only stay with them for about 4 weeks before going back out to sea to feed and mate. The pups stay on land until they ‘put their brave pants on’ and venture out to sea for the first time.

He's called Malfoy and I always look for him in the afternoons. If I'm very lucky, He's out on his tippy toes, over his pond, making gorgeous eye contact with whoever is talking to him!! American Mink were sadly farmed at British fur farms until 2000 when it became illegal to farm them.

The first American mink were brought to British fur farms in 1929 and all wild mink in Britain today are descendants of escapees, though numbers in the UK are declining. The lovely people at BWC rescued him from a tragic (and unnecessary ending)

He’s so lovely to photograph! His natural wild colouring is a glossy dark brown, appearing almost black in some light though for this image, I chose mono for the low key look. Photographed at British Wildlife Centre

I just spent about 10 minutes letting Azizi come out to me via his cork tunnel in low key. This recent hot weather has made him very active and very hungry and even more curious than he already is.

Puma Yazhi, spying a wheelbarrow which may or may not have something for her in it....

Days like this remind me why I love my camera so much!! Polar bear youngster living his best life at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, UK
