I'll be honest, I really dislike this final piece. Nor did I particularly enjoy the narrative imagery project overall. But hard work went into it non-the-less. If you can figure out the story behind these lyrics which I created then kudos to you. I found it really difficult to illustrate this particular narration!

One of two final pieces for a narrative imagery brief, using mixed media to create a "collage"-style effect and look to the six smaller images sewn on - made in fabrics, cardboard, paper, metal and graphic pen.

Sometimes, silence screams louder than the storm.
“Where the Crows Go Quiet” is a portrait of isolation set in motionless chaos. I created this piece to explore what it feels like to be both watched and forgotten, surrounded yet completely alone. The red figure identifiable, vulnerable, and stoic stands in a liminal space between danger and peace.
The birds, symbols of omen, of transition, of otherworldly intelligence, are caught in an uncanny stillness. This isn't a flight or a frenzy. This is the moment before.
I often imagine my figures as metaphors, not people. Here, the figure is the embodiment of the quiet strength it takes to keep walking through a world that won’t make room for you—but watches you nonetheless.

In a world that no longer remembers how to rebuild, she walks without apology.
“She Wore the End Like a Gown” is a meditation on elegance born from destruction. This work emerged from my fixation with the contrast between ruin and ritual, decay and adornment. The crumbling architecture represents not only physical disintegration but also emotional, cultural, and political erosion. Yet, the figure stands in full regalia—her dress a cascade of blood-red defiance.
She is not mourning. She is moving forward.
I often think about how fashion becomes armor when the world feels uninhabitable. In this piece, I wanted to show that even when everything falls apart, the human instinct to make beauty remains perhaps as rebellion, perhaps as memory.

This piece captures the breath between impulse and consequence. The Lamb isn’t caught in regret but in calculation. The hall behind him tells you he’s come far. The clenched hand, the flared jacket it’s not just about violence, it’s about intention. He wears the blood not as shame, but as signal. This is where he chooses what comes next. Not innocent, not evil just aware.
