Something I thought you would find interesting, is that of the over half a million views of my 2700 or so photos on Flickr, about 20% of those views are of my manicures and pedicures which consists of only 21 photos. While they seem pretty popular, they don’t receive a lot of comments. I like to imagine folks in nail school or nail techs around the globe checking them out. =o) I have one I’ll post small below which has been viewed nearly 24,000 times. It’s my most viewed photo on Flickr…it has 5 comments, LOL. Now, switch to interestingness and 7 of my top 20 are Sandhill Cranes. Now makes sense to this Craniac. ;o)
Anyway, I love a fun manicure. My natural nails are very strong, and “can” get pretty long if I let them, so for me, it’s not very expensive since it’s basically just a cool paint job. I don’t get to go wild very often, as it’s not really appropriate for my work, but every once in a while, I go for it. Usually I do so when I’m going to have some time off, and I have a long weekend next weekend.
My nail salon is Trinity Nails and Spa, in Brandon, FL, corner of Kings and Hwy 60. I’ve been going there over 8 years, and I consider the owners friends. I think they feel the same way. Frankly, I’m not sure I could avoid becoming friends with someone who holds my hands and/or feet for a couple of hours a month. They are wonderful people, all are artists, and Andy and I have the most fun trying new things. Andy and Ann have the sweetest little boy 3 going on 4 now. He is a delight, just like his parents.
If you live in this area, I hope you will give them a try and tell them Kathleen sent you.
Hugs and thanks for viewing! =o)

My nailtech asked me about the length and I showed her where to cut but she got a little carried away and made them really long.
I finally got a fill on my acrylics and my nailtech thought this was a cute color of acrylic with pretty sparkles.
I wanted my acrylics way shorter but my nailtech talked me into keeping the length so there was no length taken off. I'm hoping she'll let me take length off next time.
