Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek
Berühmt ist dieses Museum für seine etruskische Sammlung, wie es sie sonst nur noch in Italien gibt. Ägyptische, griechische und römische Skulpturen aus der Zeit 3000 v.Chr. bis 500 n.Chr. Sind das Herzstück der Abteilung Altertum. In der neueren Abteilung werden Skulpturen und Gemälde dänischer wie französischer Künstler präsentiert. Die Glyptothek verfügt über die größte Sammlung von Arbeiten Auguste Rodins außerhalb Frankreichs, sämtliche Bronzen von Edgar Degas und Bilder von Edouard Manet, Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin und Paul Cézanne. Zu verdanken hat Kopenhagen diese Sammlung sowie das Museum dem Bierbrauer Carl Jacobsen und seiner Frau Ottilia. Die Kunstliebhaber beauftragten 1892 den Architekten Vilhelm Dahlerup, ein Gebäude für ihre Skulpturensammlung - eine Glyptothek - zu bauen. Finanziert wurde und wird das Kunstmuseum noch heute von dem Ny Carlsbergfond, einer Stiftung, die über einen Teil der Gewinne der Carlsberg-Brauerei verfügt. Wenige Jahre nach der Eröffnung wurde der Bau durch den Architekten Hack Kampmann erweitert. Verbunden sind der alte und der neue Trakt durch einen imposanten Glasdom. The Glyptotek is primarily a sculpture museum, as indicated by the name, the focal point of the museum is antique sculptures from the ancient cultures around the Mediterranean, including Egypt, Rome and Greece, as well as more modern sculptures such as a collection of Auguste Rodin's works, considered to be the most important outside.
However, the museum is equally noted for its collection of paintings that includes an extensive collection of French impressionists and Post-impressionists as well as Danish Golden Age paintings.

Not an original composition, but one I wanted to take for quite a while, mainly because of the technical challenges. This panoramic consists of 5 images stitched together, each with an average exposure time of 6 minutes. It took about an hour to shoot the whole set, accounting for the boats passing by, of which there were way more than I expected at 7am. I used a 16 stop and a 4 stop gradual ND filter, 5 vertical shots @ 24mm, settings ISO 100 f/8.0
