Standing in the shadows and on pause
In this muted space, the world outside seemed to pause.
The blanket provided a temporary respite from life's other demands.
As travellers arrived and departed, the quiet atmosphere pulsated.
Each departure left a unique fingerprint of silence behind.
The sanctuary continually welcomed newcomers seeking tranquillity. They arrived to seek solace from the chaos of queuing.
They were nestled safely between the wait and the personalised potential of their destinations.
Time seemed to stand still in this space.
It was as if everything was on hold, paused momentarily.
This brief interlude allowed them to catch themselves.
They could regroup before venturing into their next holding bay.
The systemic cycle of arrivals and departures preserved this sanctuary's unique atmosphere.

A Facilitator of Enlightenment
In our journey through life, we may find ourselves entangled in a metaphorical cave, our understanding of reality confined to the shadows projected on the walls. Merchants who prosper on your want of prosperity and opportunistic wealth cast these phantoms of reality, manipulating our senses for their gain. Yet, in a moment of profound revelation, you break free, grasping that the world beyond the cave is the actual reality. That is the enlightenment that unveils the fleeting nature of worldly games.
When you return to the cave, the opportunity for your leadership is not simply to announce the existence of the alternative world but to dismantle the illusions holding your kin and community in ignorance. Your task is to show the mechanisms of their conditioning, patiently working to dispel their fabricated values and entrenched misconceptions.
In your transformative context, leadership is a conduit for awakening, a medium for cultivating mindfulness and resilience. It is insufficient to recommend a course of action or identify the shackles and obstructions. Leaders must unravel the underpinnings of these constraints, sparking a collective resolve towards transformative action—the possibilities to illuminate the pathway towards a new reality and foster the desire for self-transformation.
Leaders must embody the role of teachers, guiding others towards enlightenment and transforming the world, and perhaps only one person at a time.

As you stand in front of the portrait of the augmented man, carefully crafted to challenge assumptions and provoke discussion about art's place in social media, you may find yourself caught amid an ever-evolving cultural debate. The prevalence of algorithmic influence and mass opinion can sway our political beliefs and shape the narratives we accept, leading us to question the patterns we see before us. Depending on your biases and assumptions, the portrait may represent either a symbol of empowerment or containment. It is intended to be twofold. This raises an important question: when does an image cease to exist as a simple work of art and become a calculated weapon designed to sway public opinion and manipulate your emotions? The augmented man portrait is a poignant statement on the power of art as a political tool. This discussion remains relevant even in the age of social media and the traditions of our ongoing culture wars.

LeDrop WithCheese arrives in Miami for DCentralCon/Art Basel week. Notable things on Day 1: First met up with Steph and Richard in Wynwood, ran into the Miami Dolphin cheerleaders who denied a photo with LeDrop, then off to the Chainlink event near the airport, then a nightclub for the Official DCentralCon Afterparty where LeDrop insists he is invited to get in, meets Jennifer Capo and now they are sharing a house for the same week in 2022, last, LeDrop saves a damsel in distress.
The discoveries not foreseen by nature are turns to ability with a figurative thinking. The system is found a base model. It is by manufacturability, by the reflection of emotions. Beauty keeps beauty. An incomprehensible combination of factors. Art is declared universal, but knowledge is still elitist. Whatever the news feed pulsate. Sometimes it's from the heart. Everyone has their own incomprehensibility.

Enter a cathartic pursuit. The passage entrance was small and did not indicate what we were to experience—assessing the unknowns in space, shifting dramatically from concept to academic self-questioning to a deconstructed disorientation. I followed our seers upstairs, through multiple room scapes, and down corridors, to when and where I finally realised. I had to select which self-delusion was best for me. In hindsight, I have re-entered these rooms my entire life, and my disconnection between acting and actioning required resolution. To begin a transformation and build a manifestation of social-spatial exclusiveness. To play as one within this curated experience, as a spectator and participant. A paradox in finding meaning and fulfilment.

My artistic practice explores the transformative power of disrupting the path of convenience. Through my work, I invite viewers to stop looking down and instead direct their gaze upwards and across the horizon. Drawing inspiration from a pivotal moment, I realized the importance of shifting perceptual perspective. Just as I looked up from what was once remarkable and secure, my art aims to challenge conventional norms and expectations.
Within this pursuit, I delve into the concept of luxury, recognizing its transient nature. The fragility of this coveted state is a recurring theme in my art, as I question the endurance of material comfort and societal agreements. Through various mediums and techniques, I aim to provoke contemplation on the fleeting nature of watching others indulge and reflect on my self-indulgence.
I want to capture the essence of my artistic journey by converting these evocative poems into an artist statement. I encourage viewers to reflect on their paths, challenge the familiar, and seek more profound connections with the world around them.
