Life can be challenging and sometimes it challenges you to think afresh about your life, your path, your choices, and how you fit in the world. What do we seriously value? What do we choose to hold our attention and become our focus?
I certainly do not claim to have been everywhere there is to go, or having done everything there is to do. People, as far as I can tell, are people. Cultural details aside, such as language and cuisine, we all are far more similar than different. We have the same needs and desires. Yet most of us focus on the differences and allow them to be used as leverage to build ignorance, fear, hatred, and violence.
I avoid most of the news because it is not uplifting, but I do not live in a bubble, insulated and isolated from reality. It is easy sometimes to ignore the world at large and forget for a while just how horrible people can be to others. I listen to a classic song from 48 years ago and realize that no matter how much I want things to change, they don't necessarily get better. Not by themselves. I have to do something. We have to do something, to make things better.
Instead of focusing on faults and failures, we should focus on our common goals and dreams, learning from and supporting one another. Who are we to pass judgment and condemn anyone?

There's really not much news today. Done being sick but getting back into a daily routine seems to have left my abilities. At least I've done a photo today? *pats self on back*

Chapter VIII : Some worrying news

Richard hadn't been able to sleep well since the incident in Paris. Diego's report on Mikko's actions lingered in his mind, filling it with doubts. Did they really know Mikko? The speed and coldness with which he had shot the saboteur seemed unsettling. Lost in his thoughts, Richard tried to piece things together, but he always ended up with more questions than answers.
Almost at dawn, his phone rang, abruptly pulling him out of his reverie. It was one of the technicians from the monitoring room, his voice urgent. "Richard, there's a new disturbance in the timeline. You need to come to the Ministry immediately." Without wasting a second, Richard got ready, knowing that this could be the opportunity he needed to investigate Mikko more thoroughly. He wondered if there was a connection between Mikko and the recent events that seemed to emerge without explanation.
Upon arriving at the Ministry, Richard went straight to the monitoring room, where the screens displayed temporal anomalies at various points in history. While assessing the situation, he couldn't stop thinking about Mikko. Determined, he began to review Mikko's records and history, looking for any clue that could shed light on his true identity and intentions. Deep down, he feared that Mikko might be linked in some way to the temporal disturbances that had started to appear suddenly. The truth, he thought, had to come to light before it was too late

It is with great sadness for Ken & I both that we have lost our little Honeysuckle today. She had stopped eating three days ago but was still drinking, litterbox, but today, as we were all in the den, she made a mew, then collapsed and was gone that instant. Honeysuckle was 16, born on May 12, 2028. She has been such a sweet member of "the People," as we call our animal family, and will greatly missed by all of us. She was often the kitty who kept watch when we had another animal who was not well. You will never be forgotten, my little sweetie.
For Happy Caturday- "Home is where the cat is." SO true for us. As it has turned cold, Honeysuckle had been staying in, though she often enjoyed time up in the cat safe yard.
