A rare DMV winter storm means a good opportunity to take the snowmobile pair off the shelf after getting the shoveling done. Aleks Stein came up with this snowmobile design for his NDC faction back in 2011, and I built these two back in 2014 to go with the now-disassembled arctic Humvee.

And here they are all together; the Leo 2A7, the CV-100 "Bayonet" and the CV-120 "Prowler".

While the Volvo C404 and C405 are the NDC's principal light vehicles for operations outside the wire, the smaller, lighter G-Wagens are still an important asset to the NDC ground forces.

While defending native soil was the initial reason to form the NDC, the alliance has also become heavily engaged in peace keeping operations in areas affected by the ongoing war between the Allies and the Siririan coalition. Eastern Europe and the Middle East is where the bulk of the NDC peace keeping forces are deployed.

Nationale Beiträge unter dem Übereinkommen von Paris (Nationally Determined Contributions, NDCs) sind zentral für die Umsetzung des Übereinkommens. Dessen langfristiges Temperaturziel kann nur erreicht werden, wenn sich die Vertragsparteien schrittweise zu ambitionierten Klimazielen verpflichten und einen klaren Plan für die Umsetzung dieser Ziele verfolgen. NDCs sind heterogen und daher schwierig zu vergleichen. Die Infografik zeigt die Ergebnisse einer Methodenentwicklung des NewClimate Institutes und Öko-Instituts für das Umweltbundesamt, um NDCs anhand von vier Schlüsselelementen zu analysieren. Eine Auswahl neuer und aktualisierter NDCs, die in den Jahren 2020 und 2021 eingereicht wurden, wurde im Hinblick auf ihre Minderungsambitionen analysiert. Daneben wurden die NDCs auf Vollständigkeit und Transparenz hin überprüft und darauf, ob sie einen klaren Umsetzungspfad enthalten.

Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) are central for the implementation of the Paris Agreement. Its long-term temperature goal can only be reached when Parties progressively commit to ambitious climate targets and establish a clear plan for their implementation. NDCs are heterogeneous in nature and thus challenging to compare. The infographic shows the results of a method development by the NewClimate Institute and Oeko-Institut for the Federal Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt) to analyse NDC design through four key elements. A selection of new and updated NDCs, submitted in 2020 and 2021, was analysed with regards to their mitigation ambition. They were also analysed for comprehensiveness and transparency, and whether they include a clear path towards implementation.
