​Can you guess what I think of when I see the abbreviation ND? ;) Well neutral density filters of course, because I’m pretty much obsessed with photography. You must be too, right? We all are, I think. It’s such a wonderful thing to be passionate about though. It’s relatively harmless...

I had an early start on Sunday and meet with fellow togs Andy & Pete to capture the sunrise at the Old Mill at Langstone Harbour, Hampshire. The conditions were far from perfect with no clouds, the water was a bit low and a cold easterly breeze blowing but we were greeted with some pre-sunrise glow in the sky which soon disappeared!

For those that are interested the Old Mill was built around 1730. The mill was derelict in 1934 but by 1939 it had been converted to residential accommodation and hence my title for the image!

St Andrew's Cathedral and Swissotel Stamford, a perfect marriage. I did spent some time finding the right spot, there was constantly a tree or a pole standing in my way. Too close, too much perspective, too far, too many trees. I just wanted those 2 iconic buildings in my frame.

This monster loves to prepare the tastiest dishes west of the Hawk Ridge Mountains. And during the Exotic Feast he's able to find some of the best ingredients.

Just the other day the Firefox Twins brought back some pixies which, when ground up, add a fantastical tang to adventurer stew.

One of the secrets to M'nd Fl'yer's success as a chef comes from being able to get his hands on rare ingredients like that. He has an in with a Goblin scavenger who procures some of the best while rummaging through adventure's pockets.

But sometimes you need the basic staples too. A recent haul of rats by HuffnPuff provides the stock for today's batch of stew.

Now Chef M'nd Fl'yer just needs to find the right adventurer to add to the pot. Preferably not one of those lanky ones with greasy hair. If he can find one that's spent a few too many fortnights in his parents basement that would be ideal.

A recent return trip to Cotter to try and capture a scene that has eluded me previously. The transformation of this idyllic waterfall through the seasons is something special. Accompanied and inspired this time by my good friend Jim, i set about trying to capture the falls from more unusual angles. Some extremely slippery rocks nearly cost Jim his 6D but a cracking save resulted in only some bruised ribs and very wet feet! As ever thanks for viewing. Nearly the weekend :0)
