Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️
The NBC Tower's stepped limestone crown reaches into a clear summer sky, its Art Deco silhouette anchoring the Chicago skyline above a cluster of summer trees.

Thanks so much everyone for your visit and support.
A green one too! This is 1121 (VDV 121S) in Western National colours heading down Paris Street on its way back to Westpoint. Far too much to date this scene unfortunately with the car, the bus lane and the complete rebuilding of the shops in the background.
I was visiting a small museum (not a store) of movie & television vintage props & related equipment, etc. This NBC Studios fresnel light (from the 1950’s & 60’s & probably later) was, most likely. used on the Johnny Carson "Tonight" Show & a few others, from that time period. The multi-faceted & ringed fresnel lens in this light is widely used in movies & television as an accurate & adjustable light source. Much larger fresnel lenses were also used in lighthouses & could be seen for very great distances.
Whilst 'Mrs R' was domiciled in Chester during her teacher training days, naturally, I spent quite a bit of my spare time there. Predominantly the reason for the visits was to see her, but I have to confess there were other draws too.
I've always been partial to the odd-balls and under dogs of the bus world, and Crosville's Seddon Pennine RUs fitted into that category. There was of course the similarly clothed but mechanically very different Pennine VII demonstrator to be seen if you were astute. Chester also had its own municipal fleet, still with the odd Guy Arab plying its trade alongside multiple Fleetlines, Leopards and a handful of new Dennis Dominators. It was a good place circa 1980.
Here passing under the city walls, eking out its final months, wearing unrelieved NBC 'Leaf Green' is Crosville RU, OFM 797K.
