Diese Landschaft ist wunderbar ungebändigt, wildes Wasser und steiler Fels. Das Ennstal bildet im Gesäuse eine der eindrucksvollsten Schluchten der Ostalpen.
Der Nationalpark Gesäuse wurde 2002 gegründet und erstreckt sich im österreichischen Bundesland Steiermark über die Ortschaften Admont, Johnsbach, Weng, Hieflau, Landl und St. Gallen

The car parks surrounding Llyn Padarn have had new height barriers installed. Sadly I agree that this had to be done after the selfishness of people over the last few years. I can still squeeze under but the Relay, Boxer, Sprinter, Crafter sized vans, motorhomes and any hi top van can't. All the car parks were spotless and empty. I could've stayed but the signs are clear that there is no overnighting of any kind. As usual my back up plan was an industrial estate which is only a ten minute drive away.
Managed to get here a little before 4am, made a brew and then down to the lakeside. There was a lady just packing up when I arrived. She had travelled up from Norfolk and had been here since 1am for a night of astro and to take time lapses of the MW rising.
Nothing so adventurous for me. Astro is something I know very little about and I've been watching a lot of tutorials with a view to attempting to try my hand at it. After four or five test shots I was happy with my settings. I managed only three more images before the mist rolled in from the Pass of Llanberis and within a few minutes I might as well have been shooting a white wall!
So this is the best of those three images. Looking forward to having a proper go at it over the next few months and remembering to turn my head torch off!
Vernal Fall is a 317-foot (96.6 m) waterfall on the Merced River just downstream of Nevada Fall in Yosemite National Park.
From Glacier Point (see panorama picture in the middle - www.flickr.com/photos/142421249@N02/48687951368/in/datepo...) you can see the Vernal Fall and the Nevada Fall. A wonderful tour for hiking.
The wetlands of Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. A place the wild horses like to graze and shore birds nest. The horses are seen off in the distance. This was taken on Woodland Trail. Woodland Trail is an easy 1.6 mile walking and bicycling paved trail. I think it's wheelchair accessible also. It starts out flat but there are some inclines once you get back into the trail. Bring insect repellent which is also available in the park store. The mosquitoes are pretty bad. The fence is probably to keep the idiots out.
