This bicentennially marked photo Crusader was photographed at its home base, NAS Miramar, on 05 October 1975. I particularly liked VFP-63's b/c markings as they're tastefully "just enough"...smart and not gaudy.
This Phantom from the Aces of VF-171 is shown arriving in the late afternoon at NAS Miramar on 12 July 1979. This squadron was established from VF-101's ACM Det at NAS Key West (VF-101 KW). The Det became a fully established squadron on 05 August 1977 and was disestablished on 01 June 1984. Throughout that period NAS Key West was its home base.
At that time, VF-171's primary mission was to train Naval Aviators and NFOs in air combat in the F-4 Phantom.

Currently deployed in the United States of America on Exercise Black Alligator 2015, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force personnel from 845 Naval Air Squadron Commando Helicopter Force (CHF) have taken the opportunity to conduct valuable training with the United States Air Force (USAF).
845 NAS joined fellow aviators from the 66th Rescue Squadron (66 RQS) stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada to take part in Exercise United Action 2015.
Flying the Merlin MK3A (845 NAS) and the HH-60 Pave Hawk (66 RQS) helicopters the squadrons conducted Combat Search and Rescue Missions in the training areas around Nellis Air Force Base.

This Hawkeye of the Black Eagles of VAW-113 was photographed at NAS Point Mugu on 13 July 2023. At that time, the squadron was part of Carrier Air Wing Two (CVW-2) which was assigned to the USS Carl Vinson (CV-70).
VAW-113 is home ported at NAS Point Mugu, CA. (No, it's not Joint Base Who Gives a Damn...it's NAS Point Mugu).

These F-4Ns of the Sundowners of VF-111 were photographed at their home base, NAS Miramar, following their return from deployment to the Western Pacific on 02 July 1975.
At this time, VF-111 was a member of Carrier Air Wing 15 (CVW-15) which was then assigned to the USS Coral Sea (CV-43). Unfortunately, the squadron was disestablished on 31 March 1995.
As an aside, this paint scheme on the F-4 is my all-time favorite. It just fits the look of the aircraft perfectly.
Royal Navy 771 NAS Westland WS-61 Sea King HAS.5 XZ920/CU at the 2002 RAF Fairford Tattoo, then based at RNAS Culdrose Helston Cornwall, this 1979 built helicopter is now one of three on the strength of HeliOps based at Portland Dorset in flying condition 2021, this company tasked with training German Navy aircrew.

This drone Phantom from the Pacific Missile Test Center was photographed at its home base, NAS Point Mugu, in June 1976.
It was sent to AMARC and salvaged in 1980.
Amigos normalmente eu faço minhas visitas e comentarios baseados nas atualizações, nunca tive a vontade de visitar apenas os que me visitam, mas infelizmente não estou dando conta por falta de tempo e pretendo brevemente fazer uma limpeza na minha lista de contatos e serão retirados todos os que mesmo atualizando e comentando em varios outros flickrs estão afastados desta pagina.
Não é nada pessoal ou vingativo e sim algo que ao meu ver chama-se Justiça, eu estou deixando de visitar varias pessoas que estão na minha pagina diariamente, justamente pela grande quantidade de atualização e muitas vezes não consigo chegar ate a ultima foto que não vi.
Muitos estão afastados do Flickr e outros tambem sem tempo, não vou chegar e passar o rodo indescriminadamente e vou analisar caso a caso, e serão retirados apenas os que vejo que mesmo postando e comentando diariamente nas pessoas estão afastadas da minha pagina.
A pouco tempo fiz uma limpeza na listagem de grupos que participo e ainda pretendo fazer uma maior ainda, por isto não estou aceitando participar de nenhum grupo que sou convidado, tenho diminuido cada vez mais a participação de grupos e estou apenas nos que realmente gosto ou que estou desde do inicio da sua criação, só não saio totalmente dos grupos porque realmente aprendo muito vendo as fotos e as composiçoes nestes grupos e foi graças a eles que hoje sou um pouquinho menos pior que era a quase dois anos atras quando comprei a minha camera
Estou fazendo isto unica e exclusivamente por falta de tempo e tambem um pouco de animo, pois não estou conseguindo da conta e muitos devem ter percebido isto na minha ausencia das paginas,

In recent years, the sheet-metal covering of historic Hangar One has been replaced, and it's beautiful. Ten years ago, with no covering, it looked like this:
My infrared-converted DSLR is a Nikon D750, modified by Life Pixel with their Deep BW IR (830nm) sensor filter. I use DxO PhotoLab's Black & White presets as starting points for conversion of the NEF ("raw") file. I also use the Hoodman Live View kit, which makes it easier to work with my D750 in live view mode.

British Aerospace Hawk T1A XX281 of 736 NAS Culdrose, caught transiting the Mach Loop for the final time, en route to her resting place at RAF Shawbury on retirement of the aircraft type from the Royal Navy.
This eye-catching drone F-4 from PMTC was photographed preparing to depart from its home base, NAS Point Mugu, on 19 Sept 1980. The QF-4s could be operated either manned or unmanned.
XM845 : Westland Wessex HAS.1 : Royal Navy
From 771 NAS, coded '530/CU'.
771 Squadron were in the process of replacing their Wessex HAS.1s with SAR Wessex HU.5s, and their was a second '530/CU' also present at this Naval Air Day, HU.5 XT769.
This F-4B was used by the Naval Missile Center (NMC, later PMTC) and is shown at NAS Point Mugu in May 1975.
The aircraft was subsequently upgraded to an F-4N and issued to VF-201 at NAS Dallas. It was lost on a take off accident on 02 November 1976.
This Sundowners F-4N CAG bird was photographed at NAS Miramar 02 August 1975, shortly after VF-111 returned from their 1975 cruise aboard the USS Coral Sea (CVA/CV-43).
At that time the squadron was a member of Carrier Air Wing 15 (CVW-15). This air wing and VF-111, along with sister squadron VF-51, were all disestablished on 31 March 1995.
As an aside, VF-111's paint scheme is my favorite USN F-4 squadron marking.
