Het is 19.21, en museumtram 586 staat tijdens zijn eerste rit tegen een fraai verlichte achtergrond op de halte aan het Leidseplein, met naast en achter zich twee moderne soortgenoten.

2 of 2 photos taken at Passaic Junction in Saddle Brook, NJ on April 11, 1985.

The hind end of a westbound Conrail empty hopper train on NJT's Bergen County Line crosses the NYS&W main west of Midland Ave.

The NYS&W double track main is still intact at this time, as Sea Land double stack trains and the reopening of the main west of Butler, NJ would not occur for another year or more.

CR 23206 is a former PRR N8 cabin car. It survives today as part of the small collection of equipment at the Newtown Square Railroad Museum in PA. It is painted as PRR 478131.

Scanned from 35mm negatives...not my best photos, but a lot has changed since then!

Headed East out of Sunbury, this special passenger train is en route to Snydertown along the Shamokin Creek.

This right-of-way was built by the Shamokin, Sunbury & Lewisburg Railroad (SS&L) chartered in 1882. The SS&L was completed the following year from Shamokin to West Milton and acquired by the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad, popularly known simply as "The Reading Railroad."

The train operated with an EMD SW1500 at each end. This end's loco is No. 1946. This is one of six such 1500-horsepower locos rostered by the North Shore Railroad.
