The present JNUSU took up the issue in right earnest, submitted a detailed proposal regarding the modalities of such 1,.representation to the Namwar Singh Committee, and finally got the recommendations of the Namwar Singh Committeepassed by the AC Meeting of 31 March. The proposal was then ratified by the JNU EC, and sent to the HRD Ministry so thatthe required changes in the Statute could be made.
