The abandoned Real Groovy building in Christchurch

It's definitely time to start those scary movie marathons.

Next two photos coming up, it was suggested they looked like possible stills from whatever movie this gang is watching. Stay tuned over the next few days to check 'em out, as well as my last few others for this month of daily photos. We're in the home stretch!

my first time in a movie theater in about 2 years!

Looks like parking shouldn't be an issue.

California's Alabama Hills with the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains including Mt. Whitney in the background have been the set for many movies and commercials over the years.

Time to binge on spoopy movies ~

Always taking the time for a good movie and a cuddle

I feel the force is strong with this one

Love you baby xx

Why did it take Big Human so long to understand that when they have a snack during movie night, I am entitled to some too and they have to throw them for me to chase them down the living room?

Thanks to all my Follower and my great Sponsors ❤

The aroma of hot chocolate and popcorn roasted through the living room area. Various other snacks mingled with the senses of taste and vision because seeing a lot of snacks was somehow pleasing to the eyes and belly at the same time. It did not stop at the snacks though for the next step was choosing what to watch which seemed to be another task in itself. When the two finally settled on something and got comfortable, the play button was pressed. The movie night has begun!

Unfortunately or fortunately... they got extremely comfortable, warm, fuzzy and eventually ended up somehow drifting of into a silent slumber, or was it really that silent? Let's just say that this movie night turned into a sleepy night...

P.S. Just another chilled and fun photo with homey, warm hearted décor and an equally warm (Hot!) lynx. ❤

Merak's Xmas Movie Night gatcha available at the Arcade is really made with a lot of love and details. I enjoy movie nights and most of them at home do end up with me...Zzzzz.

Ofcourse, none of my sets will never be complete without the magical touch of an 8f8 dreamy decor item somewhere, here we have some of 8f8's Winter meories of Autumn Gacha that are just so homey and magically comforting to the soul and eyes. I also added two Unimaginable Sadness whales that are a group gift at Black Kite, part of the driftwood III set!

Trying to pick the perfect scary movie to watch... 🙀 But honestly, choosing snacks might be the real challenge!!! 😂 🍫

So this was my last weeks worth of spare time. This is a "micro" build that was based on the USCSS Nostromo towing the refinery from the movie Alien. The Nostromo itself is pretty abstract, but at this scale I couldn't think of much else the worked. I used some artistic license and referenced photos from the movie frames and rpf.

It's no SHIPtember, but it is a ship in September ;)

Macro Mondays: "Anachronism" theme

Straight out of the 1950s, my dad’s 8mm home movie camera is about the size and weight of a brick. It includes a rotatable exposure calculator on the side, part of which is visible at the top of the frame. A sticker on the inside of the film compartment door says that the camera was last serviced in February, 1960.

Quincy, Ca.

I love Quincy, but this is one of the ugliest movie theaters I've seen lately.

New! Mini Challenge # 243 ~ The Award Tree ~

~ Art With Text ~ The Award Tree ~

a forgotten gas station under the scorching desert sun. the rusted sign stands as a silent witness to a time long gone. no cars, no people – just the wind and the distant mountains. the road stretches endlessly, leading nowhere. everything here feels abandoned, frozen in time. a scene of quiet desolation and nostalgia, like a memory that refuses to fade.

parking spot at the movies.... thinned paint in a contact solution bottle....

watched zombie land..really good movie, plus im in love with emma stone so its a win win

Took this movie down at Dave’s dad’s. The little fawns we’re out like crazy and devouring his roses and other plants.

Missouri Pacific EMD GP38-2 No. 2377 rests at Yard Center locomotive facility at Dolton, Illinois, on August 10, 1986, after starring in a movie disguised as Southland No. 2377. It was featured in “End of the line” starring Kevin Bacon, Wilford Brimley, and of course, Southland No. 2377. I have never seen the 1987 movie, but gist of it involves the closing down of Southland Railway to be replaced by air freight, with railway workers in the shop town of Clifford, Arkansas, deciding to fight the shutting, with Brimley’s character leading the way. They decide to head to the railroad’s headquarters in Chicago to change the the mind of the Chairman of the Board about closing down the railway, and what better way to get there than GP38-2 No. 2377! The locomotive obviously got used for some target practice at some point, with No. 2377 still riddled with bullet holes and missing some window glass in this view.

The history of No. 2377 is pretty interesting too. This locomotive was built as MP No. 900 in 1972, later renumbered to No. 2051. After the merger with Union Pacific in 1982, the locomotive was renumbered to No. 2377 in 1986, when the then-stored locomotive was chosen to star in “End of the Line” with the Jenks blue paint washed and a Southland logo covering up the old MoPac insignia. After movie work, the locomotive was stored again and retired from the UP roster in 1987, soon thereafter going into the Helm Leasing locomotive fleet as HLCX No. 2377. After working for various other railroads as part of the lease fleet, the engine went back to the UP in 1996! No. 2377 became UP No. 1819, again renumbered No. 319—minus the bullet holes, of course.

Day 202: Another Friday night spent watching movies and eating popcorn...it's not so bad really. I could do with some company, but other than that, I've got no complaints :)

Criss Cross

All those things that happened to us...everything that went before...you’ll forget it. You’ll see. I’ll make you forget it. After it’s done, after it’s all over and we’re safe, it’ll be just you and me. You and me, the way it should’ve been all along from the start. Quote from the movie "Criss Cross (1949)
