Love & Friendship
I posted a work for this beautiful children's story on May 3, 1920 and decided to post another work in its honor, such a special and important message, one to be heeded and I am still hoping that it can be realized!
The Way Forward is Paved With Love & Kindness
This work is based on this really beautiful and true children's story, I am hopeful that we can make this happen, this is what I have been reaching out to for years, it is overdue will it happen?:

When you change the way you look at things......the things you look at change.
A sort of self portrait. A reminder for me to keep my heart and mind open.

The only person that can really push you that little bit further in life is yourself.
We call that self-motivation no?
(Although i have the most wonderful people in my life to support me every step of the way).
My white dress had gotten very dirty with scuff marks.
Better to see the image larger i think :) oh and by the way, i cropped the original so that the small detail is more visible.
With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating and stay safe! ❤️❤️❤️

I love reading wisdom quotes and came across this one today and thought I would share it in my own personal way.:)
What would Second Life be without a few jags in the road? I've hit one now. Maybe it's the end of Summer, maybe it's... hell, I don't know what it is. This is my third September in SL and for the third year in a row, it's signalling big changes. First life conflicts, friends reassessing and moving on, new opportunities on the horizon. It's always worked out in the past, so I have to have faith that it will this time too. Won't you join me on the journey to the other side of the rainbow?
At one point in our lives, we have to decide whether we want to advance or stay in the same place, you decide.
En 2017, on avance ou on recule ?

Shall we move forward (red) or move back (blue) ?
As the new year quickly approaches it's time to move forward and not get caught up in the cobwebs like this weathervane that may hold us back.
Wishing everyone a safe and Happy New Year full of joy and happiness with family, friends and loved ones.
May flickr be on it's best behavior so that we see fewer bad pandas. Let the good times roll, and should tough times show up may there be someone to get your back. And when your GPS says that dreaded Recalculating may it come back with the best route to your destination.

“You’ll never see all the awesome
things ahead of you, if you keep
looking at all the bad things behind you.
Sometimes you just have to turn around,
give a little smile, throw the match and burn that bridge.
Live, learn and don’t look back!”
~unknown
You are allowed to look back to see how far you’ve come, and you are allowed to look back and smile at the good times and happy memories (Like MAINE, in the dirty passenger side mirror!)
It was a good summer overall. I had some great times.... lots of much needed laughs with good friends. Nothing got accomplished, but that was more than OK. Summer is a time to recharge, anyway.
Every fall always feels like a time for new beginnings. I always said, “once the kids get back to school, and the days cool off, I’ll get this mess straightened out. I’ll get all of this stuff done.” But then it was soccer season.... and there was never any time. So, now here it is, 2014.... no one is going “back to school”.... there is no soccer season (except for the college team that Dayna is coaching). Is it time, finally?!! I had a brief moment today where I thought it was.... I thought I could tackle it all... I got started. Then I got distracted (by a husky that chewed through the internet cable cutting me off from the outside world). And here I am in front of the computer again. A brief relapse or total failure? (ok, it already feels like total failure). Well, tell you what... I have a date tomorrow with my friend, Sharon, if nothing comes up. Time to discuss the bad things behind us and laugh ourselves silly...and then we can toss that match. There’s going to be one heck of a bonfire.... trust me on that one! And then it will be time.... to move forward.
My horoscope... which you know always cracks me up:
Sep 02, 2014 Trust yourself today, Libra. You are wondering what you have been doing with your time, but you should just be happy that you've spent it as you have. Keep doing what you think is right and keep following your heart and you won't falter. You are getting to a comfortable point in your life. You would not guess how things pan out, friend.
Seriously... I HAVE been wondering what I do with my time!! ...and I can’t wait to see how things are going to pan out!!! Comfortable sounds inviting!

Get a bicycle. You will not regret it if you live.

Life is like riding a bicycle - in order to keep your balance, you must keep moving.

I can so relate to both of these quotes.
Recently, I uploaded a pic of my beach~cruiser, Daisy for a challenge, for the group Creative Tribe.
Such childhood memories came flooding back during that challenge. When I saw this row of rentals, I smiled from ear to ear...how many peeps were gonna' fly, and feel freedom, today?
I look forward to this time of year...
It's seed catalog time!!
WOW.. I am the "pick of the week" over at Illustration Friday!
Thanks so much Illustration Friday!
It's an honor...!!
Found this small overgrown play area downtown. I'm sure the community once thought it could be something more...but in this economy sadly this is not the worst I've seen. Even most of the surrounding buildings are empty.
And doesn't this make you wonder where and what the kids are doing?
Please, don't leave awards without a comment (even a small one),
and no big flashy group logos, thank you!!!
About this image, well, I saw this tree, and I saw the leaves were beginning to grow, and I knew I wanted to take a photograph with it (I took this in Belgium, where there's a really big difference between seasons; where I live it's always almost the same during the entire year, so seasons are barely noticeable).
I wanted to show that, as nature keeps changing and moving forward, we keep growing too, 'cause we humans are a part of nature as well. I thought adding some colours would make it more spring like, and me sitting and standing looking up shows the whole "moving forward and growing" thing.
Special thanks to my uncle :)

Especial agradecimiento a mi tío :)

The journey until now should be cherished by filtering out the setbacks. The path forward may not be always smooth. Be positive, do not waver and try to reach your destination. If you haven't found your destination yet, enjoy the journey.

WhatsApp was founded in 2009 by Brian Acton and Jan Koum, former employees of Yahoo!. After leaving Yahoo! in September 2007, they took some time off in South America. At one point, they applied for jobs at Facebook and Twitter but were rejected.
Koum named the app WhatsApp to sound like "what's up". On February 24, 2009, he incorporated WhatsApp Inc. in California. However, when early versions of WhatsApp kept crashing, Koum considered giving up and looking for a new job. Acton encouraged him to wait for a "few more months"
On February 19, 2014, months after a venture capital financing round at a $1.5 billion valuation, Facebook announced it was acquiring WhatsApp for US$19 billion, its largest acquisition to date. At the time, it was the largest acquisition of a venture-backed company in history.

Well I've made it to 60 today!
Janice (my partner of 32 years as of Aug. 20th) and I took the day off and went to the Griffith Observatory. We had a great time! Unfortunately my shots were crap, so I'll spare you the agony, except for one or two that are okay.
Sorry to all of my contacts for my absence from your streams. It's been a very hard summer. My mother at 87 going through quadruple bypass heart surgery, and then my wife two weeks ago choking on a large pill and barely able to breath and in the emergency room for five hours! But both are just fine now.
I will catch up with all of you eventually.
