This shot was taken this morning. Feeling all the Monday blues, overwhelmed looking at the week ahead, as well as the week behind. Struggling to stay in the moment.
It's now well after getting home from work and the chiropractor and I still haven't gotten myself centered. I just burned a pan of sliced almonds I was toasting. I sat here and, literally - at least twice (probably more) - thought, who's cooking something? what's cooking? And none of those times did I think, oh - I am!
I'm going to try to get to bed soon. Hopefully, getting a good night's sleep will help tomorrow.

Atlantis, the museum, opens June 29 at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida.

Like no other artifact on display anywhere, Atlantis is exhibited in full flight mode, flying around Earth with an HD backdrop of land, ocean, aurora and orbital sunrises. Moodlighting changes as Atlantis passes through day and night. And lifesize replicas of the 184-foot External Tank and SRB stack and the Hubble Space Telescope, among other things, greet visitors upon their arrival.

The fawn and some bedside mood lighting. No we don't have that sort of stuff in our bedroom. It is Slider's Sunday isn't it? What an awful day, and it's no better now. Rain beating on the window. Pitch black outside. Wind howling at the windows. And I have no option but to take Darcy for a walk before bedtime. Damn. Better get some mood lighting.
But the little china fawn lies near my head at night, on my bedside cabinet. So peaceful and pretty. Sweet dreams

Atmospheric night shot of a cozy corner shop on the street 'Bij de Sluis' (Near the Lock) in Groningen. The warm interior light of the building with the striking ice cream advertisement contrasts beautifully with the dark night and the wet street.
"Been thinking a lot about how we were never meant to be in a world of pain. How when the world first came into existence, there was peace. And how it all began with one decision, to indulge in something enticing. I often wonder what it would've been like if the apple were never eaten. And, like much of creation, I groan for the day where the Earth returns to how it was supposed to be."

Yeah, yeah, ANOTHER silhouette. I just love doing though. I also had a different plan in mind, but the bird ended up being to small to do that idea. But I think this works.
Anything can be romanticized when it's by candle light.
What's something mundane that candle light would make better? Wrong answers only.

It seems these guys prefer the shadows. One has to be patient for that shot. I was happy to get this mood light shot of a (greenie) with its fishing lure in his beak.

The sound of the ice cracking as it flows by makes a magical sound.
