Monflanquin, Lot et Garonne, France. The Black Prince's House - its ribbed vaults and twin bay windows dominate the square.

The Black Prince, (nicknamed because of his black armor) was son of King Edward III of England and victor over John the Good at Poitiers in 1356, is said to have stayed here.

Given its privileged location and its decoration, this house was certainly reserved for the use of the most influential figure in the city, the Bayle or the Seneschal.
