Really wished I’d read the Crazy Tuesday theme before deciding to shoot my MM shot as a reflection shot!

The jade colour is from a pair of my glasses that I decided to keep in shot, I wanted to keep the mirror in shot as I usually go to great pains to hide it!

HCT!

trying to be creative with my photos...hope you like it! :o)

Subspecies Cinclus Cinclus Cinclus is a rare vagrant to the Netherlands, originating from Scandinavia. A couple of these magnificent birds show up every year. 2 days back one was found near the city of Nijmegen. Today I was able to photograph this great bird. Unfortunately the light and shutterspeed was very low and ISO way to high for my liking. Nevertheless this was the moneyshot for me. Happy to have enjoyed this bird for a couple of hours.

“There is something to be learned from a rainstorm. When meeting with a sudden shower, you try not to get wet and run quickly along the road. But doing such things as passing under the eaves of houses, you still get wet. When you are resolved from the beginning, you will not be perplexed, though you still get the same soaking.” Hagakuri

Get your minds out of the gutter, while it LOOKS a lot like a money shot, it's just frozen yogurt. I blame MikeB for this one, you ask and you shall receive. I'm also going to blame him when my pants don't fit from eating Crackberry two days in a row. (I know I didn't HAVE to supersize it, I did it for MikeB though.) So there ya go. Happy 4th of July!

taken @ malibu beach, ca. no cropping, just enhancement of the background color...background: water, rock and dead grass...more birds to come :D

The Bengal tiger is a large, striped cat from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Burma. It lives in a variety of habitats, including rainforests and dense grasslands. The Bengal tiger can live to about 18 years in captivity, and probably a few years less in the wild. Bengal tigers are mostly solitary, but sometimes travel in groups of 3 or 4. These tigers are in danger of extinction due to over-hunting by poachers.

The cities of Shanghai and Beijing, whose expertise in Mosaiculture is world-renowned, wanted to join the 150th anniversary celebrations of Confederation to show their friendship with Canada. The two works, focused on the celebration of the feast, aimed at wishing fortune, happiness and prosperity to the Canadian people. Mosaïcultures Internationales de Montréal has been actively collaborating with these two cities for more than 15 years.

Whenever you google search for Innsbruck, this seems to be the money shot! so, here is my version..

I dont claim to be a christmas market expert, but Innsbruck has it all in terms of mountains, snow, atmosphere, glughwien, and architecture... So my question to you is this - Where is the best Christmas Market?

Robben Island, Cape Town, South Africa

If the prisoners ever had the opportunity to escape the confines of the prison walls or the quarry and walk to the southern end of the island then this is the view they would see... for me this is one of the iconic views of Table Mountain and one I had hoped to capture while on holiday there. But the best-laid plans of mice and men....

Notes for a photography travelling tourist:

If I was forced to put my preferences in order for things to do in Cape Town then the cable car ride up Table Mountain and the visit to Robben Island are neck and neck for first place. From a photographer's point of view Table Mountain just steels it as you can spend as must time on top as you like, whereas, Robben Island is a carefully choreographed schedule.

At the island, you get of the ferry and onto a series of waiting buses which depart in all directions around the island on a different sequence of stop-offs. The plan being that there is never more than one bus load at any one location stop-off. Sounds a clever idea, unfortunately, time is of the essence and each stop is only about 10 minutes which includes everyone getting off and back on the damn thing.

The southern end of the island, looking across the bay at Table Mountain is the money shot but you have to move fast; away from the toilet queues, tea shop queues and selfie brigade spreading ever further along the coast line. I'm somewhere amongst the rocks to get this clear view and no chance of setting up a tripod and filters... not that I had them having just spend a fortune on the camera. I don't think it's possible to stay on the island outside of tour hours but I bet there are some spectacular sunrises and sunsets from this location...

Was a Soviet over-the-horizon radar system used as part of the Soviet ABM early-warning. On our ultimate urbex-trip in the ghost town Pripyat Ukraine we came across Duga. I had to overcome my fear of heights to get this shot but this one was for Wim and the moneyshot.

In the early evening I put on something summery and went up to the 15th floor rooftop pool bar. I was really surprised to find it both crowded and dressier than expected. Also windy! I didn't feel entirely comfortable.

My red espadrilles from Madrid were perfect for this evening, though. And I love this photo.

This photo was taken, with the shutter open for 60 seconds. I took 15 shots before we got this one.

Taken in Kirby Muxloe, Leicestershire, United Kingdom Saturday 5th June 2010. Behind the houses are L8 Pylons so its a good bet it hit the earth wire on top of them. A lot has changed in this photo, street lights are now White LED, Trees are much bigger and some of the houses windows and front gardens have been updated.
