International Xtreme Autoshow 2008 at Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil Kuala Lumpur - The largest gathering of extreme modified cars in Malaysia
Modball Rally Europe. Around 100 modified cars, driving 3,000 miles across Europe to five different cities, in six days. It says it all really.
For me, it was the first chance for me to shoot cars on the move - and I have to say, I'm pleased with the results.
This Renault Megane was showing its va-va-voom (yeah, I know that's meant to be for Clios!) in France while en route to San Sebastien in Spain, having started the day at Buckmore Park, in Kent - a mammoth journey.

I'm not a big fan of dune buggies, because it meant that a Beetle had to die to produce it. But this is still quite a find in this day and age, a throwback to a time when bouncing around in the sand on four wheels was considered a fun exercise (and it may still be considered fun in California).
That American flag is not on a pole in someone's yard. It's flying on the buggy's antenna.
If there's one thing I can't stand, it's auto fanboys who feel a need to customize and modify their rides.
I mean, look at this Ford Focus pulling out of a gas station. The racing stripe, the black Gothic eyelash decals emanating from the headlights, the decal on the windshield spelling out the car's name - FORD FOCUS - as if we already didn't know that (see that blue oval above the grille?). Gosh, it's so fresh, so fly, so . . . dumb! So garish! LIke, why do Americans do this to their rides? Why do Americans have to be so "with it" as to pimp their sets of wheels?
Except this isn't a fanboy in the good ol' U.S. of A. This picture is a screenshot of a Google Earth street-view image in Saint-Hubert, Belgium. (You thought this was an American Ford Focus, didn't you?)
Swell. Ride pimping has gone global.
