Foreign Service Institute, situated at Ber Sarai, New Delhi organized an interactive discussion on November 1, 2014 to take forward the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister on Swachchha Bharat with the neighbourhood of Ber Sarai in mind. The Subject of the discussion was “WHAT ALL WE CAN DO TO MAKE THE BER SARAI AREA CLEAN GIVEN THAT THIS IS THE AREA WHERE OUR INSTITUTIONS ARE LOCATED”. Stake Holders from Ber Sarai including Merchants, Residents, City Authorities and Institutions in the area were invited as also the Organizations associated with and therefore having expertise in the mission cleanliness. Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, Founder of Sulabh Sanitation Movement and Social Reform shared his valuable and expert views on how we can actively participate in the Swacch Bharat drive of Prime Minister Narender Modi. Other dignitaries who shared and take an active participation in the discussion were Senior bureaucrats of Foreign Service Institute including Shri G.V.Srinivas, Joint Secretary, Foreign Service Institute, Shri Mayank Chaubey, Shri Gautam Mishra, Dy. Director of Chintan Environmental Research And Action Group and Shri Rajshree Manav Mukuud, from Manavta Parivar and others. Dr. Pathak was lauded not only for his expertise in the area but also for his technological approach to deal with the issues of insanitation in the country.
