Shot backstage at the "poppin' bottles with models" designer fashion show 6/18/2009 at The Loft in Denver.

This was shot in the basement of The Loft using a single Alien Bees B800 through a photoflex medium softbox (with a full grid) immediately to my right at about eye level. I hung a simple black cloth from a beam above the wall, then added in some texture with photoshop in post. The B800 was set at about a quarter power, fired with a a pair of pocketwizards (camera/light, even though I was standing right next to it). Oh, I had the B800 plugged into a Vagabond II portable battery power pack).
More shots from that shoot are at my photostream with pretty much the same settings.
Camera settings: 1/250, f/8.0, ISO 400, 100 mm (using my trusty 24-120 lens on my NIkon D3)
... she was life itself.

I noticed that I'd been on one of the model photography network sites for 4 years, so decided to create a story for Instagram about it.
Alexandria Pascucci is a fashion model who enjoys cosplay and is a Star Was enthusiast. Each time we work together it’s a new adventure. Alexandria’s modeling career also includes, glamour, boudoir, music videos and acting. Also in her resume is ice skating. Alexandria has many awards as an accomplished ice skater. She brings her dancing and skating skills to the ice which clearly is reflected in her performance and the photographs.
