Ixora coccinea has several common names, including:

Flame of the woods, Jungle geranium, Jungle flame, Pendkuli, Iron tree, Maui sunset, and Needle flower.

Ixora coccinea is a flowering shrub that is native to India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. It is now widely grown in tropical areas around the world, including South Florida.

During the Battle of Mobile Bay on 5 August 1864, United States Navy forces under Admiral David G. Farragut[7] passed Fort Morgan and entered Mobile Bay. Farragut captured the Tennessee and the Selma, forced the beaching and burning of Gaines, and captured Fort Gaines. This freed U.S. Army units under U.S. Major General Gordon Granger to besiege Fort Morgan.[7] After two weeks of bombardment from sea and land, Richard Lucian Page, commander of the fort, surrendered on 23 August 1864,[7] after first spiking the fort's guns

A segment of a rock breakwall being built at Lincoln Township Beach in Stevensville to stem the amazing erosion.

I was only able to get off a couple shots on this car. I would have like to dissect so many angles - but it was in a parking lot and a truck pulled into spot before I could complete my shoot.

Very unique like a piece of art - with the luggage on top affixed as part of design.

The "Headlights" so pointed...and a hodgepodge of color and parts like a rat mobile.

A nice quartet of BN geeps brings westbound Z766 across the confluence of Chickasaw creek and the Mobile River at the CSX (ex-L&N) location of Chickasawbogue. In minutes, the train will cross Three-Mile creek and enter the BN yard at Mobile, Alabama.

The train originated in Amory, MS and ran the former Frisco down to Atmore, AL, where it joined the CSX/L&N M&M Subdivision, which runs 178.2 miles from Montgomery to Mobile.
