I started this painting of my own dog in 2010, then got very sidetracked and finally finished it this week. In the meantime he passed away due to cancer/liver failure. RIP my sweet boy Catori, August 2003- November 2011. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."
CVMS students met and ate lunch with random classmates who they don't normally socialize with as part of the No Place for Hate program.
After eating the meals that cooked by others, time for me to cook on my own.
So, start of by stir-frying some vege. It includes olive oil, potatoes, mushrooms, chillies, garlics and egg plants. For some reason, i like egg plants a whole lot.

Bevor das Jahr in die gänzlich ungemütliche Winterzeit über und zu Ende geht, öffnet MUNDO MIX noch einmal seine Pforten. DJ Grace Kelly (radio multikulti) bleibt mit ihrer monatlichen Party Mundo Mix mobil und zieht auf der �Club-Tour Kreuzberg� im Dezember in den Festsaal Kreuzberg ein.
Zu Gast, erstmals in Kreuzberg, ist dann der angesagteste Liveact aus dem Prenzlauer Berg: RotFront.
Mit ihrer einzigartigen Mischung aus sowjetischem Easy Listening, ungarischem Rock'n'Roll, Zigeunermusik, Reggae, Ska, Klezmer, Cumbia, Punk und HipHop gelten sie als eine der stimmungsvollsten Kapellen Berlins. Sie selbst bezeichnen ihren Mix als Emmigranski Raggamuffin, doch wie man das Kind auch nennen mag, eines steht fest: RotFront gehen über die Gehörgänge direkt in die in die Beine, streuen Glückshormone aus und versprechen beste Partystimmung bis in den Morgen.
Mal wird auf Ungarisch, mal auf Russisch gesungen, auf Englisch gerappt oder auch auf Deutsch getextet. So international wie die Bandmitglieder, die u.a. aus der Ukraine, Russland, Ungarn und Deutschland kommen, sind auch ihre Sounds: Zwischen Berliner Metropole und einem Hauch osteuropäischer Seele, zwischen groovenden Beats und entspannter Coolness, mit Augenzwinkern und Humor, sich selbst spiegelnd und auf die Schippe nehmend.
Gegründete wurde die Band im Dezember 2001 von Russendisko-DJ Yuriy Gurzhy und dem ungarischen Musiker Simon Wahorn (ex-Balaton, Batu Karmen). Kennen gelernt haben sich die beiden Sänger, die bis heute in unterschiedlichen Sprachen auf der Bühne agieren, einst in der Russendisko.
Im Anschluss an das Konzert legt Grace Kelly (Brasilien) unterstützt von Don Rispetto (Radio Kanaka International) aka Don Rispetto (StreetUniverCity) die richtigen Sounds für eine lange Partynacht auf die Plattenteller. Ihr extrem tanzbarer Stil-Mix aus neuer brasilianischer, orientalischer und afrikanischer Musik, gewürzt mit Latinelektrik, modernem Pop und Rock bis zu Reggae erfreut sich ebenfalls bereits seit sechs Jahren großer Beleibtheit in Berlin. Ihr Musikmix ist modern, mit einer Abneigung gegen kommerziellen Mainstream. Von Brasil und Latin ausgehend, sorgt auch die Musik anderer Kulturen dafür, dass Mundo Mix beste Dancemusic und maximalen Groove auf der Tanzfläche verspricht ohne Klischees zu strapazieren. Kollege Don Rispetto würzt diese Grooves mit Reggae, Dancehall, HipHop, Socca und schrägen mediterranen Klängen aus seiner neapolitanischen Heimat.

This is Odesa's brother. There were 7 kittens in the litter. Only two had the Siamese colorpoint gene. This kitten and another one had long hair, the rest had short hair. This kitten did not have the bicolor gene that most of his siblings had. All of the kittens in the litter wer named after Texas cities.

I first started photographing graffiti in 1999, and in 2000 I setup a website to share my photos. Initially a mix of different subjects, but it soon became almost entirely of graffiti. I uploaded over 6000 photos to this site. Eventually Flickr came along a few years later and I started using that instead, and stopped updating the website. I shut it down completely a few years ago.
I occasionally get requests from people for photos of pieces by specific graffiti writers, and I thought it might be a good idea to upload them all to Flickr.
Most of these photos were taken on film, scanned, and saved at a small size, back in the day when people were still using 56k modems to connect to the internet and small filesizes were desirable. So apologies for the quality and size for some of these. Someday I'd like to get them all scanned in again at a higher resolution.

This is from a series I call Documentary Expressionism - Where using source photos collected from real events in the world I make an expression of art with hopefully a respect to that event. During this expression the relative size of characters can grow bigger or smaller & their species may transform & even mix together!.

I am full of wonder & desire to explore & discover out into the cosmos, I believe we should spend more money on it & work on it across nations to discover & better survive & expand out in peace. But don't worry I believe the most important vital goal should be the health & betterment of opportunity & potential of the living souls & planet we have already discovered & live in!! That is what my picture is about I think, I saw the photo of Somalian children refugees & their round planet world like self made hut shelters & I thought they looked like a microcosm of our world, a refugee world that has waited so long for our fantasizing distracted enslaved selves to help them that they decide to blast off & ditch us back on earth. Exodus earth! I wanted to mix the pinnacle of our outer space escapist achievements & give it to those who deserve the real best of our efforts & creativity & teamwork to achieve & better world for them & us all.
I still believe exploring out into space is a good thing we can do together & I would pay for it with a slice from the military industrial budget which I would disarm away together with the other largish nations that have expanded to match up with the U.S's overspending on terror. The main part of the savings from the military spending should go on real defense which is the protection of people's health & education & the environment and all these would also create the jobs that would be lost by the vaporized & disarmed military budgets of nations.
