i made chex mix today. it's so much better than the kind you get in the bag at the grocery store. i doubled up on the wheat chex and omitted the corn chex. not sure if i'd do that again but it's darn good anyhow.
good for eating while watching the giants game. did i say that?
i'm trying to be more open minded here. :)

(Late Morning Update: Just logged over 8,000 total stream views, and I am preparing to get ready for another photoshoot. Wish me luck!)
Many, many months ago... sometime last year, I believe, when DJ Bridget had her website up in full swing, she featured a few of her mixes up there in mp3 format.
I gave a listen to them, and liked what I heard. I do have a couple favorites, primarily "In Remembrance of Her, In White", and "Sand - A Journey East", as well as the last 25 or so minutes of "B2". I've drifted off to sleep, woke up listening, and they've formed part of my driving soundtracks at times, or the occasional background music for another computer session at home.
If they're ever made available again, check them out. If you were fortunate enough to get a chance to hear them, give them another listen.

A delicious chai tea mix I've made up for small Christmas Gifts.

There's rave reviews in blog land and I can confirm it's delicious and highly addictive!
Another inexpensive but thoughtful gift. I picked up these cute jars for $2.50 and with a tin of condensed milk and some spices it works out at around $6 a jar!

Olympus OM30 50 1.8 | Tri-x 1600 in Rodinal 1+50 for 18:30 minutes
It was my first time trying this mix with Rodinal (One Shot R09) with Tri-x to push it to 1600, and it looks great.
Details of items from the Green Mountain Spinnery in Putney VT. An incredible cooperative employee owned yarn spinnery in vermont.
I found a blog site with this recipe.
225g plain flour
110g margarine
75g currants
2 teaspoons cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
75g brown sugar
1 teaspoon vinegar
1/4 pint milk
Suggested extra flavourings - nutmeg, ginger, grated lemon rind (I used a pinch of ground nutmeg and 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger)
1. Preheat oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4. Grease and line your cake tin (don't use anything too large as the above quantity of ingredients makes up a fairly scant volume of mix - my tin was 18cm diameter and this was a bit too big).
2. Rub the margarine into the flour. Add the other dry ingredients and mix well.
3. Add the soda to the vinegar and milk, and then quickly add to the dry ingredients. Beat well and then turn into the tin.
4. I found my cake was baked in about an hour, but the recipe suggests up to 2 hours.
