For this week’s Macro Mondays ‘Staying Healthy’ theme, I have chosen to photograph some mixed berries. As part of my daily routine, I try to have the ‘five portions’ of fruit and/or veg, and the mixed berries are a particular favourite!!
Simple set up for this one: artificial light, with post processing in Photoshop and Lightroom CC.

I think this could do with more fruit next time.
This is nice with a generous spread of butter and a cup of tea.
After a very last-minute, spur-of-the-moment overseas trip, I got back home just in time to make a last-minute Christmas cake!

Butter some bread place a layer face down in an oven proof dish, you can cut the slices to fit the dish. Sprinkle some mixed fruit and a couple of teaspoons of sugar over the layer of bread and butter - add another layer of bread and butter, butter side up another sprinkling of mixed fruit and sugar. Carry on until you are at the top of your dish, about 4 layers is usually enough.
Mix 2 eggs with a cup of milk or so and slowly pour over your bread until it reaches the top of your dish, leave to soak into the bread, takes only a couple of minutes.
Place in a medium oven for about half hour or so maybe longer depending on how big your pudding is. Put a knife in the middle to see if it's cooked, the knife should come out clean.
Serve with custard.
Mmm it was delicious, great to warm you up on a freezing cold day.
Two "last of the batch" fruit-mince pies left for me, by my daughter, as a thank-you for letting her use my food processor. Not the prettiest of the litter, but appreciated all the same. The champers was in the refrigerator for tomorrow! Seasons greetings to all my Flickr friends.

High resolution original paintings from one of the most highly regarded French Impressionist painters, Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841–1919). The young Renoir struggled with his family’s financial circumstances so he left music school and started out as an apprentice at a porcelain factory. While he studied art in Paris, he befriended the young impressionist painters: Frédéric Bazille, Claude Monet, and Alfred Sisley. In the 1870s, Renoir became one of the leading painters in the Impressionism movement. His lively paintings mostly celebrated the beauty of feminine sensuality. We have gathered over 200 of his paintings from the public domain. Enjoy these high resolution public domain paintings. Download for free under the creative commons 0 license.
