"Lilium 'Miss Feya.'"

A new hybrid of oriental and trumpet lilies which reach a height of up to 2.5m with up to 40, 20cm diameter flowers per bulb. Sumptuous crimson-maroon flowers with distinctive deeper colouring at the centre of each petal that fades at the edges in a dappled effect. Plant at the back of the border and leave undisturbed. By the third year they will attain their full size. The flower scent is sweet as to be expected from a lily.

Miss cheeky

A little early but after all the wildflowers needed a dog photo on my site. This is Morgan from one of my studio (actually my kitchen) shoots.I'm still going through the rest of the photos.

I miss croissants and wine and the whimsical nature of every day moments. I miss the architecture and my friends. I miss the music and the museums. I miss hearing French spoken like lyrics. I miss the vegan cheese and chocolate that kept getting better and better and all the random and beautiful street art that seemed to appear like magic overnight.

The sparrowhawk is surely one of the UK's most striking raptors.

Unfortunately this male's own strike was far from successful and his chosen prey had long since fled when I took this shot.

After not being on Texel for 2 years in the Spring due to Corona, I've missed my Bluethroat sessions. the birds were not as active as previous years, but I'm putting that down to early morning fog.

Mr. & Mrs. Bluebird raised a single chick from their third nesting this summer. She is almost completely molted into her adult plumage and is becoming very pretty.
