For SSC, I decided to have a large family photo of the PENCIL family getting ready to perform, and in this case it was to help out Joan Miro. Of course, Joan is just one amongst millions, that they do help, but whatever the task, they do consider it a family affair.

Joan Miró i Ferrà (/miːˈroʊ/;[1] Catalan: [ʒuˈam miˈɾo j fəˈra]; 20 April 1893 – 25 December 1983) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, and ceramicist born in Barcelona. A museum dedicated to his work, the Fundació Joan Miró, was established in his native city of Barcelona in 1975, and another, the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró, was established in his adoptive city of Palma de Mallorca in 1981.
Earning international acclaim, his work has been interpreted as Surrealism, a sandbox for the subconscious mind, a re-creation of the childlike, and a manifestation of Catalan pride.
Mural Painting:
This frieze of figures with lyrical black contours floating on a ground of browns and blues was commissioned for the Harvard University graduate dining hall at the suggestion of architect Walter Gropius. Miró executed Mural Painting in Barcelona after his sketches had been approved. His subject is thought to be a bullfight with a large bull in the middle flanked by a banderillero on the left and a matador on the right. The figure second from the left has been read as the rear of a picador’s horse. Ten years after installing this commission in the dining hall, Miró replaced it with a more durable ceramic tile version, and the original painting was acquired by the Museum.

en l'aigua gelant-se.
Una fina capa de neu que
assenyala el camí vers l'hivern.
El cor dels meu somnis
és blanc com el paper
abans d'escriure-hi res.

punxa la unta dels dits.

Seit Januar 2025 wird die Produktion des recht bekannten „Knielinger Kokszuges“ zwischen der Mineralölraffiniere Oberrhein in Karlsruhe und der Dillinger Hütte im Saarland durch DB Cargo extern eingekauft mit dem Effekt, dass nun das Unternehmen Bahn PT die Traktion übernommen hat.
Kurz bevor die Schatten das Bahnhofsfeld gänzlich bedeckten, verlässt Mietlok 151 039 am Abend des 20. März 2025 den Mannheimer Hauptbahnhof im Lastlauf in Richtung Saarland.
