Silver Calm Beneath the Velebit Mountains
A small fishing boat drifts gently across calm waters while the sea reflects silver tones beneath the layered silhouettes of the Velebit mountains in the distance.
Captured from Šilo on the island of Krk, in a quiet moment where sea, stone and mountain merged into a monochrome story.
This is not minimalism built on emptiness.
It is a landscape built on distance, atmosphere and the slow rhythm of the Adriatic.

My work is rooted in an exploration of restrained light and the simplification of the scene. Here, I deliberately used an ND filter to significantly darken the image and contain the glare of the sun reflecting on the lake. The three seagulls become moving, almost graphic forms, crossing a space reduced to essential contrasts. This technical choice is not decorative, it allows me to shift the focus from the subject to the tension between light, darkness, and temporality.
No people, no movement , only the silent dialogue between sunlight and centuries-old stone. The ordinary becomes cinematic through contrast and form.
Born as eternal pairs, light cannot exist without the dark.
A natural symphony of contrast, beautiful, silent, and felt by the soul.
