So as much as I love her, Soony isn't really working out for me. I'm finding I prefer my BJDs what I call "video game style" and not "anime style" and most Minifee sculpts tend to go anime with the oversized heads and eyes. You'd think I'd be totally into it since I love Pullips so much but nope!
I purchased a Siean head a few months ago to try and shell one of my boy characters, but after a few bad faceup attempts, I wiped it and gave up. I had Soony out yesterday so I could make my final decision on her and decided to try the Siean head on the girl body and I think I like it? I appreciate her stronger features and smaller eyes, but I still can't help but think of Siean as a masculine sculpt. I might try a feminine faceup on her and see what I think. I'd hate to sell a Siean head and then realize in three months it was perfect for my character because I don't think I'll luck into a decent deal again.
Soony, unfortunately, is up for sale. I think part of the problem is I bought one with a custom faceup. It's funny, because the faceup is what sold me originally, but I've realized in the months since I bought her that it's challenging to have someone else's original character vision and then try and make it into a new character. I think I'll stick with default faceups or my own ideas from now on. ^^
In other not-so-related news, I've been looking for a format to do some light blogging like this and post pictures. I've checked out pretty much every big current social media site, but none of them really fit me, so I'm thinking I'll just go with this for now and chat under my flickr pictures. I lose some spontaneity that I would have with tumblr or instagram, but I just don't really *get* tumblr (too old? Haha.) and my phone doesn't take good enough pictures for Instagram.
My lovely new girl has a face! She is meant to live in a very cold climate, so her faceup should reflect an extensive blush , all the way down the cheeks. Her hair will be quite pale so the eyebrows were toned down to be just two to three shades darker.
These are not her permanent eyes though, she will be getting two different pairs.
Enough blabber, I hope to start on her wig soon!

I purchased her before Fairyland offered certificates of authenticity, but I can provide the order number. The hands were also ordered directly from Fairyland in separate orders and I can provide you with evidence of that too.
She's in good condition, one of the better Fairyland dolls I've received from them in terms of quality. Her resin is smooth, no marks or "flakes". I'm assuming she's yellowed as she's two years old but it's even and I can see little difference in her resin and that of my f60 girl who was made end of 2014.
Sale includes her manual and original box. Shipping tracked and insured internationally from my country can be expensive, I'm willing to pay some of the shipping myself but it still can be pricey.

Box opening of my newly arrived Fairyland Minifee Luka in Tan skin resin. I also received his sleeping head both in default faceup and the summer Juri'13 head.

Working on making things to eventually put in my shop.. so today I tried making a new pattern for a shirt I previously made for Monster High doll. There are some changes I need to make to the pattern, but it does look good so far!
I'm also making her a room box, so will get around to painting that and decorating it.. sometime... @_@;
Took these photos without changing my camera settings from when I was taking photos of the shinki.. so it's still on macro.. oops. It makes very little in focus since she's so much bigger.
It's a cool effect, but I'll take better & more in focus pictures another time, with a different setting.
PS; she will FINALLY be getting her boyfriend soon ;3
