Site of perfectly preserved mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty . It has the necropolis of each of the many emperors. Regarded with high cultural and historical value because of its long history, palatial and integrated architecture. The layout and arrangement of all thirteen mausoleums are very similar but vary in sizes as well as in the intricacy of their structures.

Immer wieder andere Blickwinkel..

Furniture from Ming and (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1912) dynasties in China

We were delighted when Ming took a stroll up the hill from the house and joined us for our little bonfire!

Emperor Ming from the 1936 Flash Gordon serial. Arm technique achieved with a cow horn sticking from the torso (Thanks Micah G.!), TECHNIC element attached to that, and flexible hose lodged in that, to which the minifig hand is attached.

April 4th is Qing MIng. ( literary means clear & Bright) . One of the 24 Solar sub-periods. Chinese calendar divide year in 2 ways. One is 12 months according to moon cycle and another is 24 according to the cycle of Sun. Qing MIng is one of the 24 Solar Division so every year Qing Ming falls on 4th of April. 10 Days before and 10 after Qing MIng is the time for Chinese to clear and clean the graves of the elders.

Today (4/4) is Ching Ming Festival, a traditional Chinese festival obsered by the Chinese during the Spring for visiting or praying ancestors.

It is also a day to remember those heroes around the globe fighting coronavirus.

On second thought maybe I should've left well-enough alone. :-) (See previous pic.)

I spent a day here several hours north of the city at Ming's Tomb. Everything lies along the “Central Axis” in Beijing. That is, if you walk in a straight line out of Ming's Tomb, you'll end up going through the entrance to the Forbidden City. Actually, these tombs are a series of tombs, all oriented along the same axis — you can get a sense of this in the video above.
