Minecraft Building Your Game Tips, Before you can build your city, you'll need to find a spot to build it. A forest or flatland with some trees is probably a good place to build. For some of the suggestions on the list, you'll need a river, or even an ocean to build, so building near water is always a good idea. If you want to get the best result, you might want to use worldpainter to terraform your world before actual building.
