Exploring North Medford at sunrise. I could feel the energy in the air as fine snow started to fall over the Minas Basin accentuating the patterns in the sand that change with every tide.

La explotación se realizó en dos fallas trasversales entre cotas de 920 m. y 860 m. de potencias medias de 15 m. y 8 m. respectivamente, extrayendo un todo uno, cuyo mineral beneficiable era hematites parda con un contenido en hierro del 55%, la mina permaneció activa hasta 1973.
Después de un merecido descanso en esto de las fotos, para comenzar el año me incorporo con la Corta Atalaya de las minas de Ríotinto en Huelva

Still some nice Canada pictures to share! This is Mina Lake in Jasper after a long day hiking in wonderful scenery with various lakes (see fi www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/21712771514). It took a while to decide if I would upload this dark/moody shot. It might fit my mood.
From 11 june till the 25th of July 2015, I traveled in Canada. Starting in Brighton Ontario, where my sister lives at the border of an amazing part of lake Ontario, I flew to Vancouver, and Vancouver island where I took the boat at Port Hardy to take part 1 of the Inside passage, to Prince Rupert in BC. Two days later I took part 2 to Skagway in Alaska, from where i took a scenic train through the Rockies to Whitehorse and further on by car to Kluane National park in the Yukon district. Whitehorse is situated at the border of the Yukon. Frow there I flew back to Vancouver, rented a car, and traveled three weeks in the BC- and Alberta Rockies, visiting the famous, and less famous Nature parks like Banff and Jasper. Last few days back to Brighton Ontario to enjoy lake Ontario once more, before going home. 4000 pictures later, it is quite a task to show the right stuff, although the stunning scenery guarantees at least a few great shots to share. Objective will be to make a book (for myself mainly), and that might take a while.
I hope you will enjoy the impression of my travel, one that equals earlier journeys to Alaska and south America, this journey was the first in the digital era, and equally intensive because of all the hiking activities every day on and on. I loved every minute of it.
I really relate to Mina's expression here these days.

A sunny and warm winter morning made for some good time to explore the coastline yesterday along with my son. The Minas Basin is an interesting site to see rock formations that are sculpted by the world's highest tides.
Una parte del Cerrato Palentino se encuentra horadado por antiguas yeseras, con el caso de Hornillos de Cerrato (Palencia). Estas minas han estado activas desde 1914 hasta 1988.
Con motivo de la buena climatología existente en su interior, también también fueron utilizadas para el cultivo de setas y champiñones.

Situé à plus de 4000 mètres. Il fait si froid la nuit que les radiateurs des engins sont vidangés le soir. Le matin, l' Azorella compacta allumé est placé sous le moteur pour le réchauffer avant d'y refaire le plein.

Corta Atalaya is the largest open-pit mine in Europe and was at one time the largest in the world. It is located within the city limits of Minas de Riotinto in the province of Huelva, autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. It is roughly elliptical in shape, 1,200 metres (3,900 ft) long, 900 metres (3,000 ft) wide, and 350 metres (1,150 ft) deep. It was one of the most ambitious projects of the Rio Tinto Group. At its peak it employed 2,000 workers mining copper; it was actively mined until 1992.Since at least 1994 it has been flooded up to the 16th ring.This open-pit mine in the western part of the Masa San Dionisio was begun in 1907 after major subsidence in some of the higher-altitude parts of the area two year earlier,caused by the combustion of pyrites in the earlier subterranean mines.[citation needed] The mines were nationalized in 1954 but later sold back to a private company. As of October 2009, the current owner, EMED Tartessus, says they will have the mine operating again before the end of 2013.

Borzoi, Russian Greyhound
The Borzoi also called the Russian wolfhound is a large sighthound that resemble some central Asian breeds such as the Afghan hound, Saluki, and the Kyrgyz Taigan. Borzois can generally be described as "long-haired greyhounds".

Swamp (Gossan & Copper) .. Mines of Riotinto, fossils of the trees buried in the Mineralized waters of the Mine, for a long time this was not happening, but as a result of the drought they are out, the minerals stuck to their trunks make them unique and bright, hard to see elsewhere ...
