Achtung !

It's a little confusing, but sometimes the Minor League Baseball (MiLB) team Albuquerque Isotopes ain't the Isotopes; they're this guy. He seems a bit proprietary to me here. This is the logo for the Isotopes' alter ego, Mariachis de Nuevo México.
Under something called Copa de la Diversión ("fun cup"), a 'fan engagement program,' the team becomes the Mariachis with their own colors, jerseys, and tickets sold to a half dozen Mariachis games – which in 'Burque have inspired national-record attendance. As of 2022, 85 MiLB teams nationwide participated in Copa de la Diversión, rebranding themselves for special series with names and images inspired by hispanic culture like "Chupacabras," "Chicharrones," and "Flying Chanclas" (if you were ever disciplined as a kid with a well-aimed slipper, that last one will catch someplace special).
The Mariachis logo is inspired by the sugar skulls you'll find around Día de los Muertos (near Halloween), and the wandering musician groups famed for big hats, fat guitars and fancy threads.
