Midsummer is a holiday in Sweden and is always on a Friday closest to the summer solstice. Every town has it's own unique costumes. The designs on the Midsummer pole are unique to the area. There is music and dancing and festivities. Everyone is free from work to take part. The fiddlers play while the men raise the Midsummer pole at Gammelgården in Borlänge Sweden.
The Midsummer Masquerade took place at the scenic Loveland Castle, and attendees came out in all their best finery to enjoy music, acrobatics, magic and circus arts performances. Helen McEachron of Mason performs aerial dance.
