It was a rainy midsummer but I managed to get this photoshoot of Samelia doing some midsummer magic and lighting a bonfire. Sun even started shining after 10pm which was nice.

Spectacular midnight sky, captured at the exact mid between sundown and sunup on the shortest night of the year (june 21, 2009) no editing, the white clouds are reflections from sunlight (the sun is just under the horizon on those fantastic midsummer nights) in Denmark and Sweden we call it "bright nights", when the sky is never black, from beginning of may til beginning of august.
The Kid drew "family read-aloud" for his next genre at the Monrovia Public Library's summer reading program. He remembered that CP and I told him that Shakespeare was meant to be performed and requested a play, so tonight we took on Act I of Midsummer's. It was AWESOME. He did better with iambic pentameter than most high school students. I am genuinely impressed and proud.
My most memorable midsummer memory just HAS to be last summer... I got married, had the best day of my life and then went on a truly amazing honeymoon. Whilst on the Honeymoon we took the same piccie as this as we (cheesy I know!) waved goodbye to Venice... another amazingly gorgeous place we visited.
So... we're literally re-creating the same pose!!!
