This is a shot of an old Seagate Hard Drive I had laying around. Taken with a Canon Powershot G10 in Manual Focus. Lighting is provided by a combination of ambient light as well as a Nikon SB-900 shot into a Westcott Soft Silver Umbrella. The Nikon SB-900 was in manual mode with a Cactus Wireless Flash Trigger v4.

Almost a disaster!
Last night, as I turned my computer started making an ominous clicking sound, and as I feared it reported that the primary drive had gone. And, of course, I hadn't yet got round to backing up all my photos.
This morning I spent some time trying to figure exactly what I'd lost. As far as project365 was concerned, I did still have my recent pictures on my cameras, but because of my backlog I had lost at least one day.
But, in the afternoon, I checked to see how if anything was recoverable, and after a bit of disc swapping, discovered my primary drive was fine, and it was this much older, smaller disk that had failed. Big sigh of relief (though I was beginning to appreciate an excuse to get a new computer.)
Rest of day backing up!
