Jumati monastery in the name of the archangels Michael and Gabriel, located near the city of Ozurgeti, was once the center of Orthodox life in Jumati Monastery Western Georgia.
The main monastery Church, dating from the XV-XVI centuries, was known as a real gem: its facade was decorated with carved stone slabs, artful frescoes covered the walls and vaults, and the ringing of the bell tower was heard for several hundred kilometers. The Treasury of Jumati monastery was famous for unique examples of Georgian chased art. Unfortunately, the ancient icons were lost – we managed to save only some fragments that are now stored in different museums of the world, such as the new York metro, the Louvre and the Hermitage.
Today the life of the monastery is supported by 5 monks and 7 novices. In the absence of state assistance, they are trying to preserve this ancient monument on their own.
Lying off the Cornish Coast on the south west of England is Saint Michaels Mount. Indeed every once in a while I do like to get out of Scotland to visit other places.
This is the beautiful church of Kallmünz, a picturesque small village situated in the Naab valley north to Regensburg, Bavaria, very close to where I live.
I have posted an interior pano of this church before. See below in the comments. This image has been created from the exact same set of individual captures but using a totally different projection*.
Multi-row panorama (stitched from 6 individual HDR images) covering a viewing angle of 240°H x 160°V.
* Explanation: A panorama is a flat representation of the scene around the camera. Essentially, a 3D world is projected on a flat surface. There are multiple ways to do this (panoramic projections). There is no perfect panoramic projection; each projection has its own properties and limitations.

Sunset at St Michaels Mount. A different composition to the standard, mainly due to a clash of tide times.
We took a slow walk along the coast path from Perranuthnoe for the view of St Michaels Mount and were rewarded not with a sunset exactly where I had hoped it would be unfortunately ( have to admit I'm hopeless at using the sunset app on my iphone ) but some wonderful lighting all the same and it was very peaceful. We met a fisherman checking conditions for fishing but he left. Maybe he was going later in the evening as he had no fishing gear with him........
The slightly LE Just done in camera - no NDs just slow enough for what I hoped for to capture the scene as seen.
I did slow the water to a stop in a couple of locations but it’s not my preference tbh….
Milky water is a personal choice and if that’s your preference is absolutely fine by me. I had filters with me, they go everywhere I do but I held off for this shot and this body of water appears as seen through my lens was beautiful and just lazy looking which is exactly how it felt to be here..just a gentle wash in and out as the tide was in and there was no wind. Just a beautiful calm evening…….just for us - or so it felt. Exactly what we needed and sort of ‘special’ if you know what I mean….
Being unwell at present comments are turned of but I appreciate all those already given and thank you all so much 😊
Taken from the hill above Kirk Michael, Looking large the church tower and part of the village can be seen,
Rightly or wrongly I get the impression you guys are not really interested in any of my TT photos hence me choosing a sunset today!

As a teenager in boarding school, one of my schoolgirl crushes was Dex
Dexter in Dynasty. Little did I know then that he would become such a good family friend and regular presence in our lives.
Life was a always more fun when you were around and you will be hugely missed. Deepest condolences to jodi and Lindsay...

St. Michael's Cave or Old St. Michael's Cave is the name given to a network of limestone caves located within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar, at a height of over 300 metres (980 ft) above sea level. According to Alonso Hernández del Portillo, the first historian of Gibraltar, its name is derived from a similar grotto in Monte Gargano near the Sanctuary of Monte Sant'Angelo in Apulia, Italy, where the archangel Michael is said to have appeared.
It is the most visited of the more than 150 caves found inside the Rock of Gibraltar, receiving almost 1,000,000 visitors a year.
