The name 'New Directions' is taken from Miles Davis' album of the similar title - it contained number of his never published pieces of music. 'Big Fun' is a great, great piece of a continuous flow of sound. It starts 'in the middle' and seem to have no finish... The original art cover by Corky McCoy... I attach a sampler of Miles' '70s psychedelia - couldn't find anything from Big Fun album: the flow The musicians playing with Davis were the cream of Fusion Jazz. John McLaughlin was the guitarist and a had musical piece by Davis on the album dedicated to him 'Go Ahead John'.

Jazz-soul greats Michael Henderson and Norman Connors appear with their Starship Orchestra, led by Aaron Liddard.
The American vocalist and bass player Michael Henderson has been nominated for multiple grammy awards. He and jazz drummer Norman Connors present a world premiere show. They are joined by special guest vocalist Carleen Anderson.
The event features the best of their joint and individual music over four decades and celebrates Normans Connor's 40th year in the industry.
