Sophia is entering 3rd grade, Holden is going into Pre-K. They start so early here. It's supposed to be over 100 degrees today and tomorrow, so of course they won't be able to play outside.

Eddie took this of me at the Gwinnett Reading Festival. I'm carrying my Canon 40D with 50mm lens. In my pockets are a 480 flash and 70-200, 10-22 and 17-85 lenses. (Don't tell anyone but it's a Nikon vest!)

I first read this book (based on Maria's suggestion) in the summer of 2005.

He was probably about 10cm to 11cm long (4" to 4.5").

The young lady is making a video. She sets the characters on the set, snaps a photo, and then moves the characters for the next shot. She had been working on it for almost an hour when we arrived.

It's out of the picture but the car directly next to me had a bumpersticker that read "Who Would Jesus Bomb?".

Playing outside, feeling so so.

Duncan Fraiser, AKC Judeen's Duncan Fraiser, born 29 July 1994 along the Mississippi River in Missouri.

For the past year Duncan has been fighting Degenerative Myelopathy. He has slowly lost all control of the back half of his body. He long ago lost control of his bodily functions, and today he can barely get himself up to walk around. His fight has been a long one, and I honestly believe he is now tired, sad, and embarrassed.

The whole quality-of-life debate has been a difficult one. If you look into his eyes you can still sometimes see the puppy that I met at the airport at eight weeks of age. He continues to enjoy certain things in life – chewing his tennis balls, being stroked and embraced… But he also appears sad much of the time. He has always been frightened by lightening and loud noises, and now he is scared of almost everything – even being outside causes him to throw his body against the back door. And so I am forced to assume that his mind is also now suffering, that he is scared when we are gone and he is alone. And that thought, well, that thought really saddens me.

And so tomorrow will be Duncan's last day with us. We will make the trip to the doctor and hold him while we do what we feel we must do – to do what we have been putting off for selfish reasons.

In the end I can only hope that we are doing the right thing, the humane thing. Unfortunately, as so many things in life, this will be one of those decisions I second guess until my own time is due.

Do you think he uses Equal?

He knows that this face makes me laugh.

Hello these building images are ones I have favorited and added to the 3x3FAVs group as the above mosaic, I get the Gehry Disney pics via Net news Wire . The new National Museum of the American Indian I appreciate for it's curved elements as well (the website is cool) the stone round w oval portal from someone's once island home , and finally the "spiral stairway from some hotel" ALL favorites of mine all seemingly related too.
