Dünyanın önde gelen şirketleri birbiri ardına Metaverse çalışmaları başlatıyor. Son açıklama dünyanın en değerli şirketlerinden biri olan Teknoloji devi Apple’ın CEO’su Tim Cook’tan geldi. Cook, Metaverse alanında önemli bir potansiyel gördüğünü açıkladı. Apple’ın Metaverse ile ilgili ne düşündüğü ve bu alan için nasıl çalışmalar yürüttüğü sorulunca ünlü yönetici, bu alanda çok fazla potansiyel gördüklerini ve yatırım yaptıklarını belirtti. Reuters’e göre şirket, önümüzdeki yıl içinde bir AR kulaklığı ve gözlüğü tanıtmayı planlıyor
“Bu alanda çok fazla potansiyel görüyoruz ve buna göre yatırım yapıyoruz. Her zaman yeni ve gelişmekte olan teknolojileri keşfediyoruz.”
Tim Cook’un açıklamalarının ardından 159,22 dolardan işlem gören Apple hissesi %8’lik bir atış gösterdi ve 167,23 dolara yükseldi.
App Store’da AR geliştirici platformu ARKit kullanılarak tasarlanmış 14.000’den fazla uygulama bulunuyor. Bu uygulamalar Apple kullanıcılarının Metaverse’e erişimine olanak sağlayabilir. Ünlü CEO, yeni çalışmaların bu sayısı artırabileceğini belirtti.
Meta (eski adıyla Facebook) ve Microsoft gibi şirketler Metaverse çalışmalarında daha ciddi adımlar atarken dünyanın teknoloji devlerinden Apple ve Samsung’un bu alanda biraz geride kaldığı dikkat çekiyor.
