Last week, LL introduced new mesh avatars that are added to the default avatar set, free for anyone to use. You can access these mesh avatars via the Toolbar Button > Avatar or via the Inventory > Library (below your own Inventory). These are easy to wear just like an Outfit or by using the individual parts. When you first use one of these LL mesh avatars, they will go to the ‘Clothing’ folder of your inventory. There are two new sets, People and Vampires. The Classic non-mesh default avatars are still there too. Shown below is Vampire Hunter Alison from the Vampires set. Have fun trying them out.

The Silhouette Story started from a response to a blog post. Then came Chapter 1 – My hand which was closely followed by Chapter 2 - The sun and the street light. It wasn't long before the suburban silhouette of Chapter 3 – Some birds on some wires was published. Now, Chapter 4 – Mesh has been written.
Mesh Web Weaver. (Dictynidae fam., prob. Dictyna bostoniensis). Scattered, irregular strands of its web are faintly visible in this view. The spider is very small -- only about 5mm. Found on the giant sunflowers lining my driveway. Arvada, Jefferson Co., Colo.

Really simple stuff: Voronoi or Delaunay plus brownian motion.
Made with Processing plus the excellent Mesh library by Lee Byron.
I lightly sprayed through a mesh bag to break the pattern up a bit. How far away from the can is from the bag and how long you spray/linger will affect how heavy or light the scale effect is.

We were eating cheesecake in the restaurant right off the lobby when they walked in. I have way too much luck sometimes..
