« Estanque de Mercurio » - Jardins Renaissance du Real Alcázar de Séville (Espagne)

Cette pièce d'eau, au même niveau que le palais donc plus élevée que le reste des jardins, est présidée en son centre par une fontaine, statue du dieu Mercure, œuvre de Diego de Pesquera, fondue par Bartolomé Morel en 1576.

À l'origine, ce bassin était une cuve qui servait à collecter l'eau depuis l'aqueduc Maure (Caños de Carmona) pour irriguer les jardins de l'Alcázar. En 1575, la cuve a été convertie en bassin ornemental.

Ce palais fortifié est inscrit au Patrimoine Mondial de l'Humanité par l'UNESCO depuis 1987.

Ce papillon répond au nom de Mercure (Arethusana arethusa). Il semble grimper jusqu'à cette fleur.

Le mercure des thermomètres grimpe aussi : 35° C à l'ombre cet après-midi

Et c'est comme ça tous les jours depuis une dizaine.

Air Inter Dassault Mercure F BTTF at Edinburgh April 1990, one of only 10 built.

The hotel was completed in July 1973. The Patria was a symbol of luxury in communist Poland, hosting foreign tourists, dignitaries, and the most discerning pilgrims visiting Jasna Góra.

In 2001, the hotel was acquired by the Mercur chain. In July 2001, following the privatization of Orbis and the entry of capital from the French Accor group, the hotel changed its name to Mercure Hotel Patria. The facility underwent a thorough renovation, adapting the room and conference standards to the international standards of the Mercure chain while retaining its unique architecture.

In November 2023, a section of the former Patria hotel was officially entered into the Municipal Register of Historic Monuments.
