Created with my iPhone and Olloclip 10x Macro and then post processed with VSCO Film's preset Fuji 100C.
To match this week’s theme, “Member’s Choice—Herbs and Spices,” for the group Macro Mondays. This is a micro (macro) photograph of caraway seeds, thyme leaves, Cajun seasoning, and grains of table salt.
The caraway seed is about 3/16" long, and the grains of salt...well, you know how big table salt crystals are.

Definitely worth clicking on to view at largest size!
(I'm so wild about your strawberry mouth)
This little sexy duck has a size of only 3 cm and was not big enough to prepare it for a christmas dinner.
The background was illuminated by some white led and a red christmas bulb. The picture has been captured with largest possible aperture with the md rokkor 1.7 55mm and a close up lens.
When I did a search on this image, it is widespread in different eras, centuries and cultural origins.
"The spiral is found in many pre-historic Goddess-worshiping centers of Europe. It is also found in the pattern of the labyrinth found in ancient Crete, the mother-centered Minoan civilization."
"One of the most common geometric motifs is the spiral, painted and carved throughout the world. And yet the symbolic meaning of the spiral in prehistoric art is speculative. Some argue it may have represented the sun, or the portal to a spirit world. Perhaps it represented life itself, or life beyond life - eternity.
In Europe, the megalithic art of Ireland featured the spiral intensively. We do not yet know the precise meanings of these symbols, but perhaps there is a way - a hypothesis - to begin to explain their universality across time and location: geometric forms seen in prehistoric rock art emerge from the anatomical and neurophysiological characteristics of the human visual cortex. The scientific literature has a host of images drawn by people during or directly after they were experiencing hallucinations induced by drugs, or direct electrical stimulation of the visual cortex of the brain.
One can argue that there is a clear commonality between hallucinations and prehistoric geometric motifs, such as the spirals." 👠 🗿

Today's #MacroMondays theme is #Metal
I had a hard drive sitting around that needed to be erased, and nothing beats physical destruction of the platters. :D

Finally, after so many adventures and conflicts, it was there. In front of me. This object of all wishes for which I had to leave everything, abandon everything and more. Placed at the foot of a pile of gold, only the initiate knows how much the choice of the precious metal is not the wisest. As if paralyzed by this long-awaited final meeting, time itself shows a respectful pause... But they are there too, my other opponents. And now I am the new Guardian, the one everyone would want to defeat to seize MY Treasure ...
Photo chosen for Macro Mondays. I had a good batch of this growing last summer. It is mint but has a lemony taste to it. Goes well with Mojitos.
Santa and piglet watch the fireworks (tinsel bokeh).
A very small figurine.

Macro Mondays. September 9, 2013 ~ Member’s Choice—Time
ScavChal May #10 ~ Toys! No kids allowed for this shot...YOU need to play! Use Legos, action figures, stuffies, plastic army guys, dolls, blocks, balls, marbles, etc., but get down on the floor (if you can) and enjoy being a kid again.
I loved playing with the Matryoshka dolls when I was a kid. Also playing card games like Canasta and Hearts, board games using dice like Monopoly and Parcheesi, and dominoes. But my favorite game was Chinese Checkers! How I wish I had those marbles today!
I sure had fun playing with my current favorite toy ~ Photoshop ~ processing this image!
Finally I used these effects ~ Wind, Radial Blur, Paint Daubs, in that order.
