December 25: Member's Choice: Bokeh (Holiday Bokeh)
This was my alternative image for the 7/17/17 Macro Monday theme for Texture. For guitar players, they know all too well the texture of playing their fingers on this wound metal.
... is a German board game developed by Josef Friedrich Schmidt in 1907/1908.
About: A peg is sent back to the "out" field when another peg lands on it, similar to the game #Sorry! (with the circle collapsed onto the cross), the Indian game #Pachisi, the Colombian game #Parqués, the American games #Parcheesi, and the English game #Ludo.

A great new topic to work with.
Little frog hanging out of a 2 1/2" diameter exhaust pipe. I used several editing techniques, last one being double exposure, trying to be "abstract" ... not my forte but I had fun with this frog!
This was taken Friday, although while editing, I realized this recently repaired camera had somehow had its date reset to 2015 (I guess when I bought it new) ... so trust me please, this was taken within the past week. I have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of photos in dozens and dozens of albums which are all now dated 2015 ... aarrgghhh ignorance is not bliss.
A leaf I noticed in the car park while I was looking for my photo for the day during the week.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)
Macro Mondays 2017/48: "Games or Game Pieces"
Ich denke meine deutschen Freunde verstehen genau worum es in diesem Bild geht ;-)
In order to grasp the deeper meaning of this photograph you need to know what is currently going on in Germany's political landscape ;-)
Dew drops on a bin liner (garbage sack) in a rubbish bin (trash can), that I saw last Tuesday morning while I was out.
I'm not sure about the photo, but it was all I managed for this week, so I'm giving it a whirl. At least it fits the theme!

Portrait of Lola.
Maybe a little bored for to take so many pictures close to her.
I like when cats come with me for a walk outdoors, but these weeks I have not had time, working every day and with a lot of extra hours in the afternoon.
Moreover, the weather the last days have been rainy. Then I just could to take some pictures inside the house.
Posted for the Happy Caturday theme "Member's Favourite Themes".
Happy Caturday to everybody !!

For this week’s Macro Mondays ‘Member’s Choice: Into the Woods’ theme, I have chosen to photograph some Rough-stalked Feather-moss. This moss was prevalent in the local wood that I visited, covering lots of fallen branches and on many trees too.
The lighting for this shot is a combination of natural light (obviously being in the wood), with the addition of a reflector and a tiny amount of fill in flash from a Nikon SB200 (up and behind) to camera right. Post processing in Lightroom and Photoshop CC.
For Macro Mondays theme "Member's Choice - Musical Instruments", this is the bridge on a solid body electric guitar. It is a through-body bridge, meaning that the strings go over the bridge and through a small hole, and are anchored on the bottom of the body. In this shot you can see three of them descending into the body. The metal blocks are used to fine tune the length of each string. This effects how the notes stay in tune along the entire length of the neck.
The tambourine is a musical instrument in the percussion family consisting of a frame, often of wood or plastic, with pairs of small metal jingles, called zils. I never knew that!
My granddaughter got out her tambourine for me to use this week.
HMM!
