This is the second time I've practically crawled into the washing machine to get a shot. The things we do for Macro Mondays! Today's theme is "Member's Choice: Abstract Macro". HMM!
I love thimbles. 54 pieces are in my collection at the moment. This is the smallest of them. It is for the hand of a child. You can see my collection in my stream.

Macro Monday member's choice theme: Bokeh
Small bauble (3 cm / 1,18 inches in diameter) in front of two "bauble" (ball) chains, red and gold-coloured, star filter for that extra Xmas bling. Oh, and yes, reflective surface... that's my Christmas teacup on the left ;-) ...

Its Feb 1979 one of the worst snow storms since 1967 .It 20 below zero outside .Were at Green Island Iowa looking North .Were on the Omaha side of the Milwaukee road Iowa division with four covered wagons with a load of PFE cars that were picked up off the Iowa division stored because Savanna yard couldn't take anymore cars the Green Island agent said. At the Green Island station where crews are getting there order's from agent Rich Marburger, Chuck Mangler's was one of the crew member's and Jerry Harder .Long time friend Steve Smedley brought coffee for everybody in the station .Its sunset new crews crews at far right side are ready to take this train to Savanna

this is a picture-crop of my beloved Bechstein 8a piano from the year 1936. I love all musical instruments very much, but the piece (made in Berlin) is something very special for me. HMM to everybody !

Macro Mondays: Member's Choice: Texture
Macro Mondays: Member's Choice: Textures.
Cones from one of the worlds largest trees, the Giant Sequoia. Although they are not native to Vancouver Island, we do have a few that have been planted. Perhaps the most notable one is in Beacon Hill Park across from the Petting Zoo which was planted in 1918.
The Giant Sequoia grows to a height of 150-250 feet and can have a base diameter exceeding 20 feet. Seed cones are 1 3/4-2 3/4 inches long. (These two cones together as I've placed them measure under 2 1/2 inches).

For this week’s Macro Mondays ‘Member's Choice - Bokeh ’ theme, I have chosen to photograph a Santa Claus Christmas tree decoration.
Nothing too complex with this one: dual light source - one for the subject and one for the background, with post processing in Photoshop and Lightroom CC as usual.
Happy Christmas to each of the group members who have commented and/or faved any of my picture submissions over the last year; it really means a great deal that you give your time to be so complimentary. HMM !!
