Recent snows melted and left the area a little soggy for a few days but after years of drought it is a welcome sight as long as there is no flooding.

Get a little bit closer. . . .

Tonight I want to be alone...

Want to walk slowly barefoot by the sea...

Want to dragg my feet in the wet sand, while they are gently dipping...

Want to stop and see the sun as calmly is melting over the sea, while spreading its fire...

Want to touch the waves painted by the sunset and then close my eyes...

Just breathing...

Until I melt into you!

We seem to have had a wonderful spell of windy wild days with fantastic towering skies. It's always a case of waiting for the wind to bring another treat within the frame. Melt your heart is by Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins

We have crossed the Florida border. The ice and snow and cold of the north are giving way to the Sunshine State.

Tomorrow, my friend flies back north, and I go the remaining 4 hrs or so to my winter lodgings.

Hellooooooo sunshine and warmth.

I'll be catching up slowly with your photos.......and you. :-)

Smile on Saturday! Shells

Given an editing overhaul in Adobe Lightroom and then coated in a 'Cold Levante' filter from the Flickr Photo Editor, to produce my 'melted honey' version of the original, more vibrantly coloured, 'Honey Perfume' hybrid tea-rose.

Winter's grudging retreat after record snows above the Salt Lake Valley obscure a meadow trail, and reveal the ruins of autumn's glories.

More water and warmer during the day. Burn baby burn into spring.

Melt

Help me breath, you're breaking up my speech

While you smile at me, you got the whitest teeth

You won't leave me alone, every time I rest you're in my head

Breaking bones, Breaking bones

You made me lose my time, fall all over the words

I'm not the kind of one to lose myself in the hunt

You gotta move and your body is the shape I want

And everything you say is on fire

You got the easiest position to destroy my life

All you have to do is arrive

Melt my happiness, some kind of fucked up mess

Looking out for you is a kind of waiting game that leaves me

Running circles into my brain

Hell, my loneliness will take no part in this

Overdose

Hiked up to Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park and saw this small reflective pond as snow starts to melt.

The image measures just under 2" in width

It is getting warmer and the ice on Alkali Lake just outside Cody Wyoming is beginning to brake up. This results in a lot of small pods on top of the ice and in between small ice sheets. This does not happen on nearby Beck Lake so not sure what conditions cause this pattern.
