I saved my favorite for last =D The original picture I edited was over 10 MB so Flickr wouldn't let me upload it. I scaled down the white balance a bit and it dropped the Mb's down to 9.32. So the original is a little better in my opinion but whatcha gonna do...
Incredible light during sunset @ Bandon Beach, Oregon. Silhouetted are the sea stacks of Face Rock on the left and Cat and Kittens Rock on the right. One of my favorite spots on the Oregon Coast. Thanks for checking this out. Enjoy!
ok, so I don't really have a "brachydactyly" thumb like Megan Fox. i was at work a while back and my left nail lifted when i was boosting a patient. yeah, quite painful. unfortunately, when the nail grows all the way to the tip, it lifts slightly.
crap, lol.

This is the final image from my Puyallup Fair captures. Thanks so much for all your support and comments on all these long exposures. I cannot wait for next year to return to the fair and capture these again and again in new and creative images. This image was captured in September 2009 with my Nikon D90. Enjoy!

They are back! Briefly, but back. Had a chance to go to the Spring Fair which was extremely unimpressive overall, but I took the opportunity to find a few of the attractions that I had missed last fall. This ride would spin a bit and then just stop with people extended upside down in midair. I was trying at first to capture this with standard shutter speeds (5, 10, 15 seconds etc.) and then finally I said "screw it" and went to "bulb" mode and timed it and let the thing roll. This is one of the only captures that had a perfect unbroken circle. I immediately thought "Willy Wonka" when I viewed the color and pattern. Enjoy!

This is my first attempt and this is a test HDR in every sense. In fact, this image is about as "sooc" as possible for me. What you are viewing here is 3 separate JPEGs merged together using Corel PaintShop Pro Photo X2. That is correct. I do not own that Photomatix program, and I did not even open up the NEF (RAW) files from my Nikon D90 and merge them that way. Nor do I even know how to. I just merged the 3 JPEGs and applied some color saturation and contrast, and that is about it.
This is my favorite vantage of the Emerald City looking across Elliot Bay from Alki Beach in West Seattle. And as I said in my tag, no this is not Alaska, which is a reference to several sportswriters and commentators who allude to sports teams not wanting to travel to Seattle and play games because it is too far. Enjoy!
This composite consists of 8 photos all brought together to give the illusion that John, with the support of Megan Fox, is balancing his precious guitar collection in quite a dagerous way.

Softbox on Elinchrom Ranger on boom from camera right, gridded Octabox on thecamera left with 3 speedlights. The flashes were triggered with 1Flex TT5 as transmitter, 1ST4, 3plusII tranceivers. All photos were taken separately in their respective positions and later combined in Photoshop.

This composite is one of the first things to come out for my new portfolio. I'm mostly active in event photography but since there's little space there for this kind of creativity I'll be creating a new website/company to further pursue creative action/lifestyle photography soon.
Alright, one more waterfall image from the Oregon trip is actually sneaking in here, I almost forgot about this one. On this return visit to Latourell Falls it was important for me to capture some of the scenery surrounding the falls, and the rain soaked bridge crossing Latourell Creek was the perfect starting spot. It was great to visit this plunge at its most powerful as it truly brings the serenity to this area inside Guy W. Talbot State Park. As mentioned before, if you visit this region do not forget about Latourell Falls (considering you have to backtrack a few driving miles on the old highway) it is a definite must see. Enjoy!
