It seems the entire medical school came out in full force on Sunday. Thinking back, they did this every year, but I never gave it much thought. And then I was sent over to help out at the Keck School of Medicine or the Pharmacy School. Now I don't take either of these schools for granted.
One of our last camping sites during a three week motorbike trip through the Kham Tibetan part of western Sichuan Province. We camped out at 4500 m. I got up early in the morning to hike up to grassy mountain top at 4800 m to get a better view over the sea of clouds far below us.

Now this is something interreseting. Try this for: Set your exposure to a couple of seconds, iso minimum 800 and f-stop to minimum 16. Press the shutter while holding your camera at your heart level and then walk straigt. Remember to set your focus to infinity. The result is, yeah it will be pretty random, but very very abstract. Thats how I made this. Very interresting.
On another note. I recently got into walking at the evening. So usally I go out after dinner and then walk around the park for a half hour and come back home for a nice cup of tea. It helps me clear my mind and concentrate. Anyways today I started new work. As a medical student you can get relevant partime work in denmark in hospitals. So I started today in Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen. Started pretty early and came home in the afternoon. It wasn't hard but you have to walk around alot. So I was a little bit tired when I came home. Had something to eat and went to rest for a couple of hours. Also I have to mention that Vilanova's first league defeat happend today. Vilanova is the manager of the football club F.C. Barcelona. Anyways I'm still abit tired and going to sleep early tonight! Tommorrow is another day, with work. So I can't be creative with my photography.

I needed a photo for the Clickin Community P52 prompt "hands" this week and was happy that the students were learning surgical scrub, gowning and gloving today so I could take a photo for my prompt. I so appreciate a surgeon stepping up to teach this and stressing how critical it is to not break the sterile field....and don't worry, the nurses in the OR watch everyone like hawks to make sure this doesn't happen.

During my lunch break, I went out to the quad area of the USC Keck Medical School. Most of you may know this campus is in Lincoln Heights, not the main campus. That's further south, near Exposition Park. Behind me, off the quad is County USC Medical Center, the more well-known hospital. Students will be there, for interning and for other classes.
Yesterday, Friday, January 24, there were some mid-terms going for the third year students. Yes, mid-terms this early. I had some free time, so I took a temp assignment to proctor. It was really easy. The pay is okay, and as the students get to have coffee, orange juice, rolls, bagels and water before the exams; so do the proctors, once the students go inside to take the exam. It isn't done in the Pharmacy School, but the schools where future doctors take their exams get to have this advantage.
Anyway, it was a nice day, and I wanted to get a nice day photo of the area. Here it is.
