Following its Southern Conference in Cork today, the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland hosted a dinner at the Maryborough hotel where over 350 of its Munster members heard from Vice Admiral Mark Mellett, Chief of Staff for the Irish Defence Forces.
At the dinner the Chamber honoured I Wish with its Cairdeas Award for their work encouraging and motivating young female students to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
The Southern Conference focused on innovation, collaboration and opportunities for FDI in the Munster region. Cork has thrived as a centre of excellence for Biopharma, Medtech, and more recently, Cyber Security.
